Gotta be honest with you, I don't like either of them too much at the moment. :P

I voted Shardmaster, only because I almost allways get 2 hits in with her, where as the Frostbow very rarely gets more than 1 shot in per turn. I also hate how Regen counters DoT's I allways make the mistake of thinking I've killed Kartch, Nefari Messenger, or any number of SL units with Chill damage, only to realize their Regen bumped them back up to 2 life.
On that note, I'd rather run 1 of each then 2x only one of them.

I haven't run anything ST since PtC, been focusing on other factions on alts. But with today's ST, neither are a serious threat. The shardmaster is way better but they are both seriously hurt by the amp nerf. To be fair, the frostbow got hurt a little less but still..... In today's enviroment, and I'm suprised to hear myself say it, you might be better served by running jakei wingmasters..... At least they can fly and have more health. :( Our ranged game was neutered with the amp changes.

Playing other factions today, the wingmaster is sadly a scarier unit. :(

Still if I had to pick between to the two, go shardmaster and run him at 11 speed.

i prefer shardmasters. I used shardmasters for quite a while till i got my two elders.

I like the Frostbow, but I wouldn't run one over a Shardmaster. I used to run both plus Shamans at 70 nora. That made for magic, physical and frost damage at range. I only really run one Shaman these days, and the Elder + Gale Force combo sort of ousted the Frostbows as well. I've even been looking at Wingmasters too, but haven't got around to seriously trying anything yet.

Shardmasters win for being able to reliably attack every turn. Frostbows are great defensively, but Shardmasters are more versatile ranged attackers.

heh, go figure, im in the minority again. I like the frost bow more. I only run 1 (get most of my ranged support from elders). It's funny, champs with regen are part of the reason I like chill. The other purpose is the high def champs I run into in SL and IS. I don't know, with my elders covering the 5-7 range, a frostbow covering the middle ground, and my shaman and 1-2 range champs covering close range, I feel I have a pretty versatile and stalwart range assault. I guess I could just as easily drop a shardie in instead, but I like my middle ranged champ to have a little bit less of a bulls-eye on there shirts, and shardies wear a big one. I'd rather my opponents focus on my melee champs, or push in too far and try and take out an elder. Both champs are pretty close in efficiency, so you really can't go wrong with either, I think it may have more to do with your play style.

You need a "both" option. ;)

I've been running one of each in my ST decks, and they're both great for different reasons. Shardmaster has more mobility with the cheap hits she can dish out, if I have a decent amount of amp on the table, then I usually choose her.

If I haven't gotten much amp out yet, and I have several opposing champs moving in on me, and a solid tank on the battlefield, I usually pick the Frostbow.

Shardmaster seems a little more offensive while the Frostbow is a little more defensive to me. Shardmaster has better single-target damage, while the Frostbow can dish out more damage to multiple targets with his massive DoT's.

It really depends on the situation. Both solid champs.

I put at least one frostbow in every ST deck I've ever made. I only sometimes add a shardmaster.

Ranged chill 3 is just pure <3

I run a 69 nora shardmaster in pretty much all my ST BGs never got round to playing with the frostbow although I have been meaning too the smaller range put me off.. that and the fact i can never find one..

with frost amp and range she will win always win out. However, without amp the Bow would be more effective. I any deck that doesn't include amps field the Frost Bow.
