Ok, i need a confirmation on that.

I got told that AG wont affect your ranking, but yesterday I didnt do any DoW and only played in AG and my rank went up. Anybody can explain that?

ok, it might went up because rank is based on experiences points. You gain exp pts if you win and vice versa. In your case, it is probably that people who were above you before lost some rank match and lose their exp pts while you didn't do anything so you didn't lose any experience pts. Now that their exp pts is lower than yours, your rank might have went up a bit. But I really doubt that this even happens.

This does actually happen, your rank will fluctuate from day to day, possibly even increasing, based on the fortunes of others, as, like all ranking systems, it is relative.
