Hello all,

I've been away from the Pox Scene for some time, only occasionally popping in and out to check things out and to toy with my old runes. With the recent expansion I managed to get some goodies and have been toying around with things. Here's hoping that the vets can give me some heads up about my deck. :)

Deep Miner (7spd build)
Dwarven King (106nora, MS2 build)
Talgar Ironfist (89nora, 9spd +2hp Elec Vul.)
Barbarian Commander (79nora, 11spd BM3)
Battlemage (78nora, 11spd 11dmg +6hp)
Battlerager (77nora, 11spd +6hp Berzerker3)
Dwarven Sharpshooter (77nora, 11spd +6hp PS2)
Griffin Rider (88nora, 9spd 11dmg +6hp Mobility)
Veteran Barbarian (80nora, 11spd MS3)
Faultbreaker (Default)
Stalwart Defender (79nora, 11spd +6hp Shrine Def)
Ironfist Minister (77nora, +6hp Resist Magic3)

Desperate Heal
Disarm
Glorious Charge
Hammer Strike
Strength of Stone
Strip Armor

IS Standard

Vial of Holy Water

I'm thinking of dropping the Vial for a Matron for cleansing purposes, because Matron can cleanse the Faultbreaker and the Vial cannot.

I also need some help with the Faultbreaker's builds - I'm thinking of either putting Phy. Resist 2 or Charge 3 and keeping him under 120, so that he can be a 1st turn drop if I go second. Charge 3 seems more attractive because I use him rather aggressively, but it lacks synergy - one can't really expect to Pulse -> Charge -> Beat. The extra 1-range in Charge3 would help that chain, but it's a long shot considering people would get out of the way already. Phy. Resist 2 would help in extending his life a little, but can be moderated with SoS already. Feels a little overkill to get it on him.

I left out the Catapult primarily because of lack of place :( There are times when I miss the pile of wood... And there's UV, another mainstay that's lost its place due to lack of space.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like a pretty nice deck, I would run the Stalwart cheaper though (9sp 9dmg +6hp is only 64 Nora and is plenty good imo)

I'd also run Sharpshooter cheaper and with more HP. 9sp PS2 +6hp is only 69 Nora.

I never go anywhere without Impervious, so thats something you might wanna look into, I dropped Strength of Stone due to the high increase of non physical damage this expansion.

For Faultbreaker i think im going to go with Charge 3 and Physical Resistance 2 and maybe some +hps.

The only other thing i can suggest for the builds on your champs is +6hp to Vet and Barb Comm

Vial is better than Matron

Hi Moles :)

Thanks for the comments. I dropped SoS for Impervious, and it's been working out very well. You're right - physical damage is so rare nowadays...

I like my Stalwart Defender's build, mainly because of the 9ap gain it gets on a shrine deploy. In terms of getting to the first node I find that extra AP does help a little. It's still sub-80, so I'm quite okay with it.

On the Dwarven Sharpshooter, I actually depend more on it for ranged damage than my Griffin Rider because of his 11spd. I had to nerf my GR down from 11spd 12 dmg because of the overwhelming nora imbalance the Faultbreaker brings into the deck, and it's been feeling... weaker since. I like the 11spd, I suppose, and having it at sub-80 still feels very nice for me.

It's the same for why I didn't add HP to my Barb Comm and Vet Barb - I want to keep them cheap. Given the Standard they'll be in their 50s for HP anyway, and they're usually low on priority for the opponent to kill for some strange reason.

I recently got myself another Vet Barb though - was wondering if I should swop something out for x2 Motivates. Any opinions?

Thanks again,
mike86

P/S: I'm in love with Glorious Charge. It just increases the threat of melee champs by so much!

hey mike on the SS build, since your going to it for most of your range dmg i would like to make a sugestion on builds. since its ranged 9 spd is mostly ok as it will be behind the lines and moving less then melee. so dropping the spd to 9 and upping the base dmg to 12 and PS to 3 allows for some great burst dmg and decent constant dmg from the guy.

also with matron, vial is better only in so far as cleansing. she is a better healer, a decent combat unit and a good inspire unit soimo shes better, just spread over more of an area.

the SS build comboes well with matron as with 1 inspire its 14dmg already and PS 3 adds 9 dmg meaning 23 dmg every other turn atleast.

on the 2xs vet barb i would do it as 2xs motivate and motivate in general is great for upping the effeciency of runes. turns cheap guys into beaters and beaters into beasts. i would drop the rager for him as hes about the same price and generaly better. my personal fav. build is 11spd 6 hp and melee specy 3

Vial is better than Matron

Your vial doesn't hit for 15+ dmg, my Matron does. Nor does your vial add damage to champs you deem worthy, Matron does. Vial is good instant-drop, but after that almost all factions will remove it. Harder to remove matron when army is there.

Hi all, :)

Thanks for the feedback again. After playing a couple of games at the 300+ rank region (and losing all of them lol) I realised that this deck may not be as tight as it can be. It seems to lack an overall direction as to how the deck should be played beyond placing guys down and trying to smash face. I'm probably going to take it apart and approach the deck from a different direction.

Thanks for the help again all :) I'll post my new deck up when I get it out for critique again.

Cheers,
