Which Campaigns have the best rewards? And are the ones you purchase any more interesting then the 2 starter ones or are they more "Kill spawning guys until you are bored"

You can only get exotic fragments from the campaigns you buy or from premium campaigns.
All the campaigns are essentially what you just said.
