I've been sick, so sleeping all day. Though I hear it is nice and tolerable. No wind for a change.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about the temperature right now. There's a reason I love living in Alaska. I don't like hot weather. I'm happiest between 60 to -10 degrees. Anything hotter than 60 and I usually don't like going outside. I visited relatives once in Texas. Almost killed me. ;) 105 degrees. I got burned so bad I spent the remainder of the three weeks inside in a bathtub filled with icecubes.

I am 100% with you on this one man. I live in Wyoming so winters are long (not as long as your's duh) and cold. And when our 2 month summer hits it creeps up to a dry windy 100 deg~ I hate it. Wish my 55 deg weather would just stay forever....

I like it when it's about 5-15 C, I also like snow, too bad we don't get much of that anymore, atleast not here in Skåne, stupid global warming.... I mean, I live in SWEDEN!!! How can we not have snow!!!?

Yeah, that's pretty weird. I live lower in the hemisphere and the winters here are long, cold and full of snow. Up to your neck on good days :P

And your winters could be because the northern hemisphere is more polluted....

Still, I'll take Texas summers over the frigid North Carolina winters anyday.

EXCELLENT choice my friend, you can skip Norway, you'll know why when you hear our jokes about them (No offence, I actually don't know why you're being targetet). Oh, and I HAVE to say great job if you can speak it, swedish is said to be one of the hardest languages in the world to learn.

You guys talking about global warming really made me think. I have really noticed a change in the weather the past few years and if it's one place that would really stand out it's Alaska. I was born in Alaska and have lived here my whole life. I can remember all through my younger years you could guarantee snow on the ground before Haloween. Every year. I always trick or treated in the snow. Everyone did. The last few years have been unusual. Now we're lucky to get snow in December. I actually spent Christmas last year without being able to go skiing because there was not enough snow on the ground. The weather sure is changing. It's gradually been getting hotter for our summers too. Our usual ratio was about 6-7 months of winter, 2 months of in between (breakup or fall), and around 3-4 months of summer. Note by winter I mean snow on the ground. ;) Lately if I want to really go skiiing I have to head up north! The weather definately has changed. It's not some rumor or tag line as some people think. It's real. I wonder what it will be like in 10 years?

Yeah, the same here, a few years ago there was no doubt we wouldn't get snow but now we're glad if a snowflake shows up Christmas or new year.... bugger but there is a pattern that our earth gets these kind of things, an icetime and a really hot time so don't take global warming too serious but don't go waste fuel for that matter either.
Be conservative and take a walk to the store rather than the car, if not for you then do it for the earth as it gets affected negative in other ways as well.

It have been a bunch of decent days here through the whole summer, I bathed in a lake 2 days ago and it was warm. O.o Someone had probably urinated in the whole lake cause it was more warm and nice than usually.
Today on the other hand is a stormy and raining one...

I don't get why you d00des make houses in places that are likely to get hit by a tornado or something.... Do you enjoy rebuilding/loosing lots of money?

In Tucson Arizona, there is nothing like driving down the road on a sunny day, and mistakingly... mistakingly rolling down your window, only to have the heat of a hair dryer blow you in your face... it is sooooo exhilirating!!! You would think the air would be cooler at night.. hah... it is just worse!
Heck! I've been to the Middle East at least 10 times in the last 16 years of my Air Force career... and guess what... the weather is the same there as it is here!
