I've always been extremely impressed by the artists that SOETOPI has chosen to employ for character design and Rune artwork. Nice to see one take the spotlight away from the Code Monkey and tacos.

We can, but we tend to ramble about stuff that no one cares about - edges, blending, depth, dramatic lighting, etc. ;)

The detail doesn’t work as well when shrunk down to card size.

I disagree -- I think this is what makes the art so great. The art is truly one thing the game has going for it, and possibly one of most well done parts of the game.

It's true people probably don't spend much time looking at all aspects of the rune picture, but it still does make the rune look good.

indeed, posters would be great. and/or let more rune art out on the web in resolutions bigger than card pics on the site/client. my pox art collection hasn't had an update in over a year i think.

I think I am the only one who is not dazzled by the striker's art. To put it a better way, I did like the progression from the striker to the cyclops.

I think it is great that the Artists are finally getting some attention, the rune art was what got me interested in the game from the beginning.

On a separate note that little Acid Elemental .gif is awesome I would love to see more of them, in the kitten variety if possible.

Artists do need some love. I was actually in the same undergraduate department with Gabriel Garza. Small world huh?
