Protect the nest

I was wondering why for its nora cost protect the nest is so bad. Its 50 nora spawns 6 eggs in your deployment zone. Now there is a few problems with it that I see which keep it from being used even in most spider decks.

Unlike Hatching Season it takes 2 turns before anything begins to hatch, significantly slowing the progress.

Its not taretable which wouldnt be an issue if it didnt have to start randomly at the UD shrine. The lava there quite often kills off one or more eggs.

So anyone know why it has such high nora cost for such low effect?

My spider bg and I often wonder the same thing. I've dropped PtN 2nd turn and won games before all of the eggs have hatched. And I hear you on them dying on the lava!

oh how i wish they would spawn faster. even if they lowered the amount of eggs and make it 40 nora
