I will be trying to Release 3 runes every week, with new fun and interesting abilities
Some of these runes will be to help synergize with current BG's and Factions
Others will be to propose new fun and creative niches all there own

My goal in doing this is to Formally release these runes and gain a good constructive feedback on the ideas i propose
In this spirit i will be accepting all kinds of criticism and i will try to keep my recanting to a minimum
However, if i feel something was misunderstood or if i don't quite understand your quarrel with the design, i will respond to clear up any inconsistencies


I appreciate all your replies, comments, and views
Hopefully with good feedback and if some of these idea's really catch the Eye of the Community, we may see some of these in future expansions, or shadows of them
Although this is every rune designer's dream and ultimate motivation behind constructing the rune
The feedback of the community and your time is reward enough, so thanks again

Now that the formalities and set up are over, lets begin with this weeks 3 runes!


Skeezick Merchant


Attack: 9

Range: 2-4

In-Game Model: Skeezick in filcher like brown garb
Default Animation: Opens his garb to reveal merchandise
Attack Animation: Throws a coin at the enemy
Art: Shifty Looking Skeezick standing in front of a shop with brown garb and slyly showing merchandise
Rarity: Uncommon
Nora: 67
Race: Skeezick
Class: N/A
Faction: Sundered Lands
Quote: No war is won without the proper funding, The Skeezick have found great fortune in the black market to fund their campaign -Akkakios, Draksar Lord

Lucrative: Nora gained by this champion is doubled

Shop keep: Market abilities cost 2 less, and you gain half the nora spent at any opponent market

Black Market: Make an attack against target enemy champion and deal 10% your nora pool as dmg to that champion, that champions owner then loses Nora equal to Dmg recieved AP:4 CD: 4

Cyclops Tribe Leader: If a Cyclops with Split Stone Tribe is deployed on your side, then this ability is replaced with Split Stone Leader. If a Cyclops with Dawn Rock Tribe is deployed on your side, then this ability is replaced with Dawn Rock Leader. All Cyclops sharing a tribe with this Cyclops gaine +1spd and Evasive, and this champion gains +1dmg for each Cyclops deployed in the same tribe


Smash: This champion makes an attack at +6 DMG that destroys any equipment on target champion AP: 4 CD:5

Art: Dwarf with both hands on sword drawn and facing us, stern look on face with long beard and hair tied in traditional samurai style

Interesting, I even see that FrozenEdge's ideas got moved here

I don't argue that this is there proper place, however, the merging of the forums were kinda offputting, alot of rune idea threads were floating around, so i felt justified in posting this in Gameplay chat forums

I think its sad however that the Rune Ideas Forum barely receives views or replies
Frozen Edges thread got its high reply count from him constantly responding
Aswell as the large number of ppl who viewed and commented due to it being in the frequently visited Gameplay chat forums

Hopefully the Rune Ideas Section will get more popular and receive more attention
Or at least new runes stickied for a day or so to catch the eye of passing poxer's

Anyhow, The Runes of the Week are still ago!

Next Wednesday i will continue with the 2nd installment and release 3 new rune ideas!

Skeezick Merchant looks nice. My only suggestion is maybe that Black Market doesn't make the other player lose nora.

Cyclops Smasher... First of all, there are only the Split Stone and Dawn Rock tribes.

Secondly, it's hard to work with them. Whoever goes second, becomes Dawn Rock while the first player becomes Split Stone.

Rename Sun Rock Leader to Cyclops Tribe Leader. Then make it work off of whatever Tribe is on your side and have Hunter of the other tribe.

Also, move Pummel to upgrades with an appropriate cost reduction.

I re-named it correctly and moved Pummel to upgrade and reduced cost by 10 instead of full 12

I think that the Tribe War spell can easily be fixed to spawn splits on casters side and dawns on opponents, i dont see the purpose of making the spawns random and the spell has not much of a purpose now anyway, so i think changing the spell would be better and this rune could help compliment it, so i didnt change the Split Stone Tribe War Leader ability


The Skeezick Merchant's Black Market may raise a brow at the nora drain effect, but i'll wait to see more ppl's response's b4 editing that ability


The Samurai i upped his cost by 6

I re-named it correctly and moved Pummel to upgrade and reduced cost by 10 instead of full 12

If that were to be done, then what happens when both players are using Tribe Wars? It needs some way of knowing which spawns on whose side.

cyclops I didn't look at cause I hate playing with cyclops they are annoying to move around on alot of maps and ya lol




summuri would **** all lol slapping some bracers on this guy would be painful to your enemy.

i would suggest just making him a melee kinda guy and taking away counter attack: range and add either evasive or dodge or something anti range.
I had an idea called (nibble: this champion gains evasive 3 for 1 turn. this is a hidden effect. (0 AP, 4 CD)
but idk if you like that one or not, if you do you can use it ^_^

I think having both tribes on the same side is fine, no different than 2 SL players playing Revolt

It would just be out of flavor

However, to better flavor u could just have them die if opposing tribes under the control of the same player, so if both players use T.war they just wouldnt have any tribal cyclops..just nora globes :/

ya they actually have, I like the drudge cyclops and the lurker, they are pretty cool ideas ^_^

just wish they weren't all 2x2 lol but that is there thing ^_^

ya that should help limit him down a little that ninja would be fun to play with ^_^

I really like the skeezick except for the black market ability.
Smash on the cyclops is an awesome idea, SP doesn't have many shatter options so I honestly hope that this abiltiy is implemented on other cyclops.
Honestly, as a champ the samurai seems ok but the concept im not fond of. Dwarfs use hammers and axes, to have one trained as a samurai would just be.....odd. I vote to change him to a human character and call him something else. Flavor text could be something like "In times of trouble the humans sent their best warriors to assist the dwarfs in their fight for freedom, now they have taken up arms once more."
Of course this is a mere suggestion im not sure if others agree or not. Great work on the other two though.

This could work, i was hoping to flesh out the idea of implementing alot of dawn and splits into SP to actually make the tribe idea worth something, i've always wondered the point of them having different tribes beyond the fact of flavor...i dont even recall these tribes in Pox Lore

Very true, i dont like the idea of a Dwarven Samurai either
Neither was BlkmickyJ's conception such
After constructing it, i can picture a dwarven samurai..but i agree it is out of flavor
I'd change it to a human, however all the human characters i recall from the Ironfist
Are Barbarians, the only1 that i can think different is ethereal priestess

If i can find more humans or support for changing to human, i'll do so
And also a creative name, i'll think on it and decide to edit

SP already has an anti-equip Cyclops. Having another more usable one would shoebox him. Make smash just cause the unit (that got hit) to be unable to move for one round.

Fixed Cyclops Tribe Leader ability

I think that better runes coming out shoeboxing other's is an issue of buffing the older runes
No1 really runs cyclops youth anyway and disarm is a cooldown of 4 shattered breaks the equipment placing it on full cooldown
