I saw my opponent using a warbanner. How do I get one of these for my faction?

you get a free warbanner of your choice when you sign up for premium membership for the first time, after that you can craft them using the rune crafter as long as you are still a premium member

Cool. So do that auto deploy at the start of a match? or are they just like a normal rune with a Nora Cost?

yes they are just a normal rune with a nora cost, you have to reveal them and play them just like everything else
All warbanners are the same but for different factions:
its a relic
cost 20 nora to play
give champions you control from that faction +2 ATK, +2 DEF, +5 HP
whenever you play a champion from that faction you get 10% of its nora cost refunded

You can also use the crafter to gain warbanners, this is good to know if you intend to play any more than one faction as you can only ever gain 1 warbanner through prem account sub.

If you're interested in one faction, buy a premium membership and choose that faction.
If you're interested in multiple factions, choose the faction you want to play the most and play that and other 10/10 decks.
If you're interested in multiple factions and don't want to settle on playing one faction, and don't want to play 10/10 decks, then you also have ability to craft the warbanners from the other factions using runes.
Warbanners are pretty important, but there are ways to get them, and they are rarely used in anything but full faction games.

You have to be a premium to craft warbanners anyway, so yes you have to buy a premium.

There is also the option, should you want to do it, of just buying the Warbanners in the Single Rune Store. But you have to be premium for that too.

I thought you could buy warbanners in the rune store with out having a premium memebership?
However premium member ship is definitely the cheapest way to get them.

No, you have to be premium to buy the premium runes (Warbanners, PE Elven Mage, Octopi Helm, etc.)
