Hi there, im a newcomer and i have a question: how can i get runes instead of playing money?

You really cant. Even if you get some runes from the rune pool here, you have to at least buy a 3 dollar pack so you have something to trade to him for those runes.

Simply put, and without meaning to put you off...you cant.
And to be honest you have to spend money to get rares and exos you HAVE to spend money and you need them to get anywere near competeing with most people on here.

You don't need exos/rares to get a high rank/be competitive. The guy AllCommons, made it rank 272 with (you guessed it) only commons.

Its true, you need to spend at least $ 3.
Then you can use rams thread to borrow some runes. With them and some trades you should have a playable comon/unccommon BG.
But from there on, you dont need to spend much money if you are willing to spend some time.
1. Make good use of the trader (takes long)
2. Buy a premie and a campaign
--> that cost about $ 20. But given enough effort you are able to craft runepacks, once you obtain the needed fragments.
