Triple Threat < Nora Surge for drops?

Ugh, I just read the triple threat loot drops are the same as the other free campaigns. I have been spending some time on strategies to beat it on legendary (got the first and second stages done, havent tried the last yet), but this means that you don't get exotics for it right?

That sucks.

As far as I can tell Nora Surge is the place to go if you want exotics? Am I right?

As far as I can tell, since NS can drop any fragment type, it has a lesser chance of dropping them than the campaigns that can only drop a specific type or two. (like Euans or Grimlics)

At least, that *seems* to me to be the pattern.

However, since Triple is free, it probably can't drop exos... :(

Seems that way to me as well. Euans and Nora Surge are the best two IMO to try and get exo frags. Euans cause it can be done in 20-25mins for all 4 missions, w/out much thought

Nora Surge is pretty easy and fast, so far I've gotten exotic: oathstone, frostborn, dragonbur and grimshard. Drop rate is kind of low but not any lower then Euan's was from what I notice.

I think it's pretty clear that difficulty has no bearing on the drop tables :p
Grimlics 1 is impossible without the correct draw (stupidly impossible, I still have no idea what they were thinking when they made that awful map) but I didn't notice any improved drops from it. Actually, I hate the entire Grimlics campaign....

Pretty much, I still have 3 exo oathstones from Euans.

The only reason I think that NS has a lower drop rate is because it wouldn't make any sense for it to have an even drop rate with campaigns that can only drop 2 types of fragments.... Since theoretically you can get ALL the fragments needed to craft 100 packs from it, they would be stupid to make it have a decent drop rate. Not to mention that it's a short campaign.

In my opinion, those three battles in that campaign are the most fun they've released so far. They are actually challenging to the point of not being impossible. And it is really great fun to lay the smack down on the exotics in the Proving Grounds. I play them for fun, not for the rewards.

Moodudu - that is why I plan on finishing stage 3 of Triple threat on legendary... even though I know I am not going to get an exotic fragment.

It took me 100 minutes to slog through the spawns in stage 2 (I think I had 20+ infected corpses at one point) and it was fun. It was also fun figuring out a strategy on the first stage.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing a lot more campaigns like Triple Threat. They are fun even though they don't have the rewards the others have. You actually want to play them and beat them just for the sake of beating them. And not because there's maybe a small chance you'll get some exotic fragment you can use at the end.

I mean, the Skeezick one was easy! And with the exception of the last battle, the battles weren't very interesting. There also weren't any quirks like "We will deal with your kind hardly!" or "Begone dark angles!" or people getting turned into spiders. Or "Oh pox oh pox oh pox!" and drunk dwarves. You know, those things that make you laugh every time you play them. Although I guess General Roxorz was pretty cool.

Seriously. I have yet to find a single campaign "fun". The AI is stupid and predictable. Though, I suppose this is inevitable, since to actually program a good AI would take a decent sized team a long time, and Octopi simply doesn't have the manpower to manage it at the moment.

On the plus side, I did see a green post saying that there was the possibility that the unlimited nora/unlimited spell presence would eventually be removed, presumably meaning that the AI will continue to be improved till it no longer is a total joke. (my personal favorite at the moment is the targeted AoE spells that only target your font once every X turns)

Anyway, the only use I have for campaigns at the moment is farming, and NS is the best to farm but it still takes FAR too long to get the needed fragments to make it worthwhile.

My only real hope for the campaigns is that they eventually introduce alt color schemes for runes that are available via crafting. Being able to make different colored versions of many champions might actually get me back to playing the campaigns since at the moment it isn't worth the time. Taunts? Name change tokens that only you can see? Packs that take 50 hours to get the needed fragments? Seriously? LAME ALL AROUND!

Well with 2-3 runs of nora surge I can usually get frags for a 200cp token.
If it didn't require a plat token as well, this recipe would rock.
But having a couple 200cp tokens ready for use is a nice feeling.

Only thing I want is an official list saying what drops are available from each campaign (don't have to list any %, just tell if you're wasting time trying to get exo fragments).

It seems as though all free campaigns are out of luck for exo fragments, and really really low for rare fragments.

Euan are for IS and ST. Grimlic's Descent are for KF and UD I guess. (Haven't bought this)

NS are for all the factions, though only the last map can drop exo fragment (this might be the case for Euan and GD aswell, since I have only gotten one exo fragment from euan and that was on the last map).

What I like about NS though is that you get to choose what fragments to grind. Being able to mix Prot and Wrath when going through a campaign was really really nice.

Haven't tried these new campaigns since I want to know if they can drop exo fragments, otherwise it ain't worth the time (except maybe trying them once to see what they are about). =)
