OK, here's a newb question. Can you give me some guidelines around how to determine what runes are beneficial to use in a BG when your just starting out? I'd like a BG that is fairly well rounded since I won't be familiar with how do deal with many of the common strategies players will use against me and so I need good runes to improvise with as I go. Most of the factions areas will have a thread with builds, deck builds, etc in it. I know the forsaken wastes has an awesome collection of information to go off from, by Georgermn. Another thing I would suggest is observe higher ranking players and see what they are using. See how they upgrade their champs. Another thing: Try for 1 rune of each type when you are starting out. This gives you more versatility and the chance to try each champ for yourself. Play a lot of games in the Anything Goes room, which doesnt count toward your ranked record, but will still give your champs CP to upgrade them with.

EDIT: Also, the forums just got moved, so most people are just reposting the strategy/build threads. Some factions might not have theirs up yet.

Levels on champions are directly affected by the amount of spent cp they have on them. It's something close to "If you spend over 40 cp they become level 2, 80 level 3, 120 level 4, 160 level 5.

As for upgrading attack / defense. Don't do it! They are good stats, however, the return on your nora investment is not good. As a main rule, people do not upgrade these. Even upgrading them once is a bad idea.

However, instead of attack you should increase damage if increasing it at all since it is a foolproof way of increasing the damage by 1, and increase hp instead of defense to have more health (2 health for every upgrade)

Lets say a unit has 10 attack and attacks a unit with 20 defense. For every point defense has over attack the damage will be reduced by 2%. So a 10 damage attack will go down 20% and will hit for 8.

On the other had, if a unit has 20 attack and hits a unit with 10 defense the damage will be increased by 1% for every point difference. So if a 10 damage unit hits a enemy, it will increase the damage by 10% which will do 11 damage.

There is rounding involved, and usually if you look and you are 5 or 6 atk/def difference, then you can calculate that in your head.

Since only magic damage effects incorporeal units, any spell or ability that says it needs to damage that unit to have the effect does not work (unless it uses magic damage of course). Other things that do not have that "damage requirement" should work.

Your player level is determined by how much experience you have. It really does not affect anything, other than showing your relative place among the players.

You get experience by playing in DOW and winning games.

1. 2 weeks. I believe you have to play a game longer than 5 minutes (so it counts).

2. The IRONMAN award (as of right now) is just for show. People can view them in your profile.

3. This usually happens if the connection is bad between the two players. If the game can not start because one side is lagging, or the two sides can not connect, it will go to the game ending screen.

Trade rares into a store (such as mine, see my sig) and save up credits till you have enough to get a Vindrax or whatever. Use the trader to trade your rares for more rares. Also, check out other shops. Usually you have some way to trade in rares (although at a penalty, my store gives half credits for your rares if you use it for an exotic) to pay for exotics.

You have an experience count. When you play someone and you win you take some of his exp. The same thing goes for your opponent. If you play someone ranked higher than you, and you win, then you steal more of his experience. If you play someone ranked lower than you, and you win, then you steal less experience from him. This way you get penalized less for getting beat by someone above you and you gain more if you beat someone above you. This means the amount of games doesnt matter, only the amount of wins/losses and who you won/lost against at the time (if you were ranked higher/lower)

Generally, people prefer raising damage instead of ATK and hitpoints instead of DEF, due to the small difference ATK and DEF does (you need to raise it alot to see a difference).

For example, try a normal 10 atk fellow with damage 10 and try out different def-values here to see.

You usually get more "bang for the buck" by raising either damage or hitpoints a few steps than having to raise DEF five or more steps.

They are both just for show, unless you count the fact that the game uses these values to match you up against other people (in Drums of War room). Your experience determines your ranking.

Dont upgrade ATK or DEF. They are not good return on investment. Keep speed at odd numbers. nora costs ending in 4 or 9 are good because thats how your champ cooldown is determined (nora cost rounded down to a 0 or 5 then divided by 5). The first three hitpoint upgrades are probably your best nora spent as you get +6 hitpoints for only 3 nora. It takes a 5 point difference between attackers attack and defenders defense to make a difference in damage due to rounding. Also, it is 2 points to upgrade DEF, whereas 1 point for hitpoint upgrades.

There is a difference somewhere. Whether it is on stats, or abilities (if they update an ability you get a free reset), or even on the upgrades. All "out of date" marked runes will have something different.

An out of date rune can not be played. It will take all spent and unspent CP and give it back as unspent CP. So if you have 100 used cp and 25 unused, the champ will be reset, and you will have 125 cp to spend.

SaiTann is a sick, sick man.

He's just a collector, and collectors do weird things. No one had ever gotten over 1000 of an individual rune, and one of the Greens told him that the store didn't have a fourth digit to graphically show 1k+ of any particular rune. Sai really like the Magma Bunny, so he kind of went a little over the edge.

Suffice to say, he proved the Green wrong.

1) If a champion is "Constricted" by one champ, then "Antagonized" by a Varu Dragon (more than 1 space away). Assuming the Target champ was melee range 1 ... What ends up being the result? Can he simply not attack period? (Also does the reverse order change anything? Say Antagonized, then Constricted.

2) If you cast "Implant" on an "Infected Zombie", then what happens? What about "Implant" on one of your champs that an opponent has infected? Same result?

It is better to buy a membership, and get the warbanner for the faction you like, which also nets you 3 3.00 packs over the course of 3 months. Secondly, you should buy a 100 pack, because it has the best odds for exotics. Use the stuff you dont need from that 100 pack to trade for stuff you do need (go to the stores they are fairer) so you can make a deck.

Practice, practice, practice. I do not know of any "newbie only" guilds but most guilds will help new people out. Also, read your factions forum. There is a lot of info in there to absorb.

In that situation, unfortunately a rift in physics and math occurs. All champions with Planar Instability portal through your monitor and can be found stomping angrily through the tulips in your front yard.

I'm sure if someone worked it out they could make a store like that, however after trading for a year and 8 months or so, and seeing many stores come and go, there are things like rare to exo creds, tier system, etc that must be in place so that people dont just trade a bunch of crap for the good stuff and the store owner is left with 8 ghern tyrants, 7 crown of corruptions, 12 idol of elements, and no good exotics.

It creates a token that you can use one a champ which will give them a 0 AP ability. When you use that ability in game, a text bubble pops up with the saying of the taunt, kind of like the rune is "saying" it. They are great fun to use to hassle your opponent. If you have lots of frags, I would recommend making some.

3. I am leaning towards the Wraith side.

I would find which faction you like the most first by playing the free samples, watching games, etc. Next, I would get the e month premium membership which lets you pick a warbanner, and will give you a 3.00 credit every month (for 3 months) which usually goes toward a 10 card booster pack. You will receive your first credit after midnight of the day you purchase your membership account.

Next I would get 1 100 pack (or 1 50 pack if that is all you can afford) and trade for what you need. You can also look in the faction forums for card pools where players give their runes to the pool, and new players can request free runes from them. You can also check out the stores in the trading area. There are stores that offer 10 commons of your choosing for 11 of your commons, or a good trade in/out system. Ask advice in the faction forums for the faction you chose. Most everyone is helpful here, and you can get advice on what runes you will most definitely want, which ones are stinkers, and other useful info.

Also, the 3 dollar element packs are just runes from the last expansion. The big packs have ALL runes in them including ones from elements. I would recommend these before the elements packs. The 3 dollar new expansion packs are usually for the people that already have all the current runes and want the new stuff. Bigger packs are great for people just starting out. The 3 dollar packs have 1 rare in them which has a 10% chance of being an exotic. In the 100 pack, you have 14 rare slots which all have a 10% chance of being an exotic.

So 3 dollar pack 1 10% chance.
24 dollar pack 14 10% chances.

Go with the 3 month premium membership and the 100 pack if you can.
Go with the 3 month premium membership and the 50 pack if you are a little low on dough.

The numbers are the points. If you run a bg full of the same 20 faction you get +2 points for your faction for winning in the DOW room and -2 for losing. If you run a 10/10 battlegroup (10 runes from one faction 10 from another) then you lose 1 point from each faction for losing and gain 1 for each for winning. This way you can see how many points the person has gained/lost for each faction.

Forglar swamp is the default, as soon as you have greater than 0 points in a faction your favorite faction will switch to that one.

I would not pick up a premade. Just read the forums to get a good idea of whats good or not, and put one together. In all the faction forums, you can put something together and post the list and ask people to help you out with the build of the battlegroup.

You can not use runes from the free sample battlegroups, you can only make "real" battlegroups from cards you buy.

With reanimate as well as the new gravewatcher, expensive guys are OK to run. Also, our cooldowns are 60% no matter if the guy costs 49 or 119. This is good, because when you kill a dwarven king or a menalaus, there is a 99.9% chance you will not see them again that game. If you kill Xulos at 99 nora and he is back in 7 rounds it helps us alot having our power runes show back up again. Ragic runs 99 nora abominations as well as expensive other champs.

Question 1: It comes in the form of $3.00 worth of credit, and you can use it to buy a 10 pack, buy single store runes, or save it up for a campaign. You would just have to let it build up for a couple months since campaigns are now $6.00 I think ($5.95 whatever).

Also, the first credit happens at midnight after you get the membership.

Also, you can use that credit toward something bigger. So you can get a $24.00 pack, the $3.00 will come off of it, and you will end up paying $21.00 out of your pocket.

fyi, i did notice that when a unit his healed while decay is out, and an exorcist is out, the exorcist absorbs the dmg instead of the 'healed' unit. i guess the decay effect is considered global dmg.

Since I have some specific BG ideas, should I just use the premium store or is there a better plan? Also I really want a menalaus, is it silly to start with a menalaus in the beginning of DOW? Should I wait to buy one from the premium store later when it is required for the level of DOW or go with what I want from the beggining?

Both SP and KF are wrong. Go with FW! :-P

Menalaus is very good. I would advise getting one now, and getting used to playing the bg you want to use for DoW.

Also, if you have decent stuff to trade check out the player ran stores. If you do not, buy a 100 pack and use the exotics (if you get one hopefully) to trade for a menalaus. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, then use the premium store, but most people would rather buy packs and trade for what they need instead of buy single exotics. If the menalaus is lower than 15 bucks then by all means grab one. The thing with packs is you could get 0-3 exotics on a normal pack, so it is kind of risky but could net you big rewards. Menalaus is middle tier so it would be easier to trade for one then buy from the premie store.

Yah the blue shades get darker as the person is higher ranked. Blue names start at rank 100. Yellow is for player mods, green is for Octopi staff.

Depends on what kind of guild you like. There are some that revolve around a faction and people share faction strategies etc, and there are ones of just groups of friends. I would wait till you talk to some people from different guilds to get a feel for them before joining one. You can also just join one and see if you like it, as you can always leave.

Would I be better off trading the Tundra Yeti and Polar Ant away for c/un so I could have a wider variety and then buy packs as I have the spare cash? The yeti is decent but the ant is kinda crappy, to tell you the truth. I would trade them for more uncommons/commons as ST has some really great ones. The recruiter is just AWESOME and the jakei frostbow is pretty good as well. If I were you I would trade them for commons/uncommons and just get any rares/exotics you need from future packs.

Gale force is also great for positioning, or smushing the opponent against other champs for great damage.

Also, if you want to "borrow" some runes, you can do a couple of different things.

1) Join a guild, like...maybe...the Sub Zero Society (http://www.poxnora.com/guilds/home.do?g=7) (shameless plug). Guild mates are very supportive of providing advice and runes.

2) Definitely, definitely go visit the ST faction forum (http://forums.poxnora.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14). Over there is a "rune bank" where you can borrow ST runes from.

And you can get advice on deck building, strategy, etc.

That's one of the great things about this game....there are 8 different factions to choose from. Each has their own unique strengths and weaknesses.

So, if you find yourself wanting to try something different, you've got 7 other things to experiment with :)

A word of caution, though:

If your goal is to be competitive with 1 or 2 factions, that won't require too much of an investment.

However, if you want to try and be competitive with many factions, or with 10/10 builds, or if you are interested in the collecting aspect, then be prepared to make a decent investment--especially to try and get all the "old" runes like Lich King, Dwarven King, etc.

The way it is worded is kind of goofy I guess. The shrine defense, and damage done to it, is definitely affected by arctic wail, as I remember a shrine rush battlegroup that some savage tundra players used to use.

I think what the shrine caption is saying is that the champion that is attacking's attack and defense is not used. This would be why champs hit shrines for less than they hit other champs.

Also, arctic wail says does not say just your opponents shrine, so that would mean yours as well. Avoid casting it if the enemy is hitting your shrine, unless you need those few extra damage points to finish the shrine off on your turn.

You can use the name change token in the unit forge (the place you upgrade your guys) in the same spot you use the bronze, silver, gold, and platinum tokens. This will allow you to "name" your champion. Only you will be able to see it in game unless you use a taunt (created from fragments also gotten from single player campaigns).

They are just something to add flavor to the game. Once you make a champion re-nameable, you can rename them as many times as you want.

For example, I named my Tormented Priests "Blight" and "Pestilence".

A champ is not nameable until you use a name-change token on it. Then in the forge you can change its name to whatever you like, as many times as you like.

Here is the general gist of it though.

Randomness adds a % miss chance to all attacks, although the chance escapes me at the moment.

If you want to send a private message on the website, there's a tab for Messages below the Trader and the like. If yuo want to send a private message in the lobby, type "/w username something to tell to that guy", where you replace username with the person's name.

Although I have been playing a while one thing that has always plagued me is the Nora Cost of Champions against the refund of a Warbanner.

I know that creating a Champion with a Nora Cost ending in x4 or x9 means that you do not move up into the next Cooldown bracket however I have heard that a different number gives you 1 more Nora kick back from the Warbanner's refund (Nora costs with x0 I think I heard).

Can you clarify anything for me here?!

No this is not good math.

I tested it yesterday, a 99 nora unit will gives you 9 back, and a 100 nora unit will gives you 10 back.

However, you are still spending 90 nora on that unit, but your cooldown has went up one.

Keep them at x4 x9

The lost queen is not good because her special skill is so easy to circumvent. Either have a DOT kill her, have a summon kill her, use a spell, etc. I have used lost queen and she has turned out to just be a crappy melee unit. I don't think I have EVER had anyone stupid enough to waste a high priced unit on her. Usually it is a summon that gets the last hit, or an aura, or a spell that finishes her off.

I was under the impression that all runes would have a chance of showing up in purchased packs. That is how it normally works in most TCG's.

If not, aren't new players being put under a handicap vs people who have unatainable runes to play?

That's actually long-standing debate, Mal. The two sides of the camp are -

1) Harbies, as a Limited Edition rune that was available in limited quantities (with the potential to be sold again, but currently being unavailable), impose a handicap on anyone who doesn't use them. They are a unique power source that provides an edge that is unfair, and should not be allowed in ranked play.

2) Harbies are silly runes with somewhat poor art that are waaaay overpriced, and damn do they die easy. People should stop wining and just kill the stupid thing. Yeah, they have range 6. So does a Slinger. Guess which doesn't make you sell the farm to deploy it?

Harbinger are no longer available from packs, and have only been open in the store twice in the almost two years that I have played this game.

The only faction (as I see it) that harbingers are greatly valued is underdepths, just because a ranged 16 champ is nothing to sneeze at. Especially with initiative, and flying. You do not NEED a harbinger to reach number 1. They are NICE to have in IS with its lack of range, and in FW with its lack of physical range damage (most everything is magic... Menalaus is a tough old coot to deal with).

That "my faction" part is determined by which faction you have the most Drums of War points in.

If all of them are at 0 or 0 is your highest point total then forglar swamp will be selected as default I believe.

Actually I think it was changed to the faction you have played the most games with, due to people with negative points defaulting to FS.

Ah, I hadnt heard that about that change, but I would think that if it is not the faction he would like it to be (aka the faction he plays) then it might not be the "most games played" thing, but maybe something else.

Snowcat's race is (Beast, Snowcat), so I guess that would work. I did not check that though, as I don't have beast tamer myself.

Not a dumb question, actually.

Because, it doesn't say this anywhere on the rune or the Hero description.

You may only have 1 hero per battlegroup (aka deck).

Meaning, you can't have both Talgar and Euan in the same deck, you have to choose one of them.

Neither can you have 2 copies of the same champ in a deck (which it does state in the Hero description).

What was worse is the player must of had at least 2 righteous deflections because it never seemed to wear off. Is there any way whatsoever to combat this as I only play as Savage Tundra or should I start praying for the nerf gun to take aim on him? The only method I have been able to come up with for beating this is to shrine rush and never face that person again, but I just feel like there should be someway to beat this.

Put more non-physical damage in your deck if you run into this repeatedly. Also, someone can not keep righteous deflection up 24/7 on the guy, so make sure and check the unit on everyone of your turns. You can also use spells, auras, and dot damage to do alternate damage to him. It must have cost him a bunch of nora to keep RD going on the rock eater, you could always just leave him and go after his shrine (like you said you did).

Yes, it has 4 round cooldown (for two of them) and it lasts 3 rounds. That only leaves you one round to attack. Knockback will work against it (I have seen gale force knock phys immune guys around and it will heal them, but that wont matter if they are off a cliff or soemthing). However, if someone is spending that much nora on the one guy, then you should be able to tie him up with kitties or something while you go for his shrine. There is also the elven ancestor which does melee frost damage. You could also even stick ice carved greaves in there to give someone a frost melee attack. (or is it the shard... I forget).

Two questions, really.

1. I'm playing a KF deck and am struggling mightily with trials of the wrath Legendary 4/4. I just can't seem to get over the hump. I've removed all healing from my deck except Mena and Herbal Antitote, but I just can't seem to do enough damage before they swarm me. It's incredibly frustrating. So, any advice would be wonderful.

Polymorph is no longer in rotation. People will trade either to you, but expect to pay an arm and a leg for them.

Ive been using a Draksar chameleon recently being stealthed and constricting enemy chamops but it seems to me they just start moving again next turn. Arent they supposed to be constricted for 3 turns???

Im pretty sure that greens will not reset your account just because you want to reset your stats, make another account or just stick with yours and sort your stats out....easier said than done I know but i think thats how a green would reply....although they wouldnt advice making another account.

You should go with whatever faction you like :-)

I wouldnt base it off what good cards you have, you can always trade them for other cards from the faction you like. Looks like you got some decent ironfist stronghold cards, try getting enough to make a 10/10 with another faction and test em out.

I'd steer toward IS or ST with what you got. You got totally shafted with the other 2.

Problem is, those are the 2 most exo heavy faction if you want a good deck.

With some decent trading you could pull off a sweet ST deck IMO.

I rarely use 2x2s (being FW) so I almost never run into a situation wherein my 2x2 gets constricted. It should work normally for both 2x2s and 1x1s, though.

Did you move the Chameleon or order it to do anything else? I'm almost sure those would break Constriction.

I know how to change the Forum Avatar, but I can't choose a Jakei Wingmaster although I do have one. Why can't I select it?

I see token packs in the shop... but cant see any reference what they are for... :(

I am not sure what you mean bound to every champion. I go through a lot of tokens, using cp to make a champ one way, then resetting the champ, and building them a different way, then trying something new.

Credits in trade stores are a "made up" value that the storeowners assign to runes. These credits are not a poxnora thing. Most stores will save the credits you have left over in their own store. You can not use credits at others stores from another store.

I saw that those tokens (5+1+1), are per account not per champ. I know now.

About credits: so they are not Octopi's thing, but universal thing of the stores. Offcourse you cannot transfer them between the stores.

I bought 2x100 pack or was it 200? plus a side pack first time I bought packs and got not so much as one exotic... I've been little lucky since (not much), so far the game owes me 4-5 (4,5) exotics (statisticly only ofc as there's 10% of being an exo of every rare).

No, because Haunt is retarded and doesn't do anything you'd think it would. Last I checked, Haunting a banner not only didn't give the bonus to the opposing player, it actually didn't even remove the bonus from your enemy's champs.

Haven't tested, but considering how it's a relic and not a plant champion, I doubt it would.

Exactamundo, the relic does not count as a Plant. For the same reason, the relic Sporedrop doesn't Surge Botanists or Dryads.

Also, if a Wood Elemental Transplants to a Sporegill, it kills the 'Gill and doesn't drop the relic.

No, all FW runes by nature are annoying, and until the FW faction is wiped off the face of the Poxnora map, everyone will be annoyed. Even Haunt is annoying.

try refreshing your bg, in the upper right, see a circular arrow and click it when viewing your SP bg.

If you want to send a private message on the website, there's a tab for Messages below the Trader and the like. If yuo want to send a private message in the lobby, type "/w username something to tell to that guy", where you replace username with the person's name.

You can also click on their icon (not their name) to get that text automatically plugged into your textbox.

Rewards can be crafted out of the fragments, but for the most part, this is an incredibly hard and tedious process so I would avoid it. You can see the requirements for crafting under the "play rewards" tab on the left.

Every match played in the ranked arena counts towards the drums of war ranking. Win a game with a FF BG and your faction gains 2 points, lose and they lose 2 points.

The diplomats and the banners can all be made through crafting. Check out the rune crafter for more details. You can also trade for diplomats from other players, and buy the banners out right. The other PE runes are... complicated. They are basically more or less out of print for right now. Expect the octopi helm which gets restocked, some times.

The hourglass appears next to a champion's name in the rune manager if SOE has made any changes to the champion.

If you wish to reset a champion which doesn't have an hourglass next to it, you need to click on the "Forge" button and then "Tokens." Here you can use any of the reset tokens you have (if any) in order to reset a champion.

As for the SP bag, I'm not sure. I would assume it to be the rune "Bag of Boulders" from the Shattered Peaks faction, but that's only a guess.

This does refer to the upcoming LE heralds.

Getting these LE's and hanging onto them is great because after they are no longer sold, the value goes up. They are great bargaining pieces for the previous LE midexpansion sales.

The sales do not include any reduction on price on packs, only the introduction of the LE rune (Heralds) in a pack with 3 other boosters for 15 bucks.

A membership used to be good just once, so that you could get the warbanner for the faction you liked for free. Now there are many bonuses, such as more cp on your champs (my favorite), more avatar experience, and while you are a member you get all 8 warbanners to use. There are also things like 10 trades instead of 5... but that isn't as useful unless you are a big time trader.

If you do the direct comparison with just packs, you get 5 packs for 15 dollars and that's that. With a membership you would get the 8 warbanners for rent, 2 expansion packs, and 3 token packs. This is great if you already have a decent base of runes. Until you have a decent base, the 30 dollar boxes are great for the guaranteed exotic, or a starter deck for 10 bucks that has an exotic in it.

I'd say to get started: Find which faction you prefer, and buy the starter deck. Avatars are very useful so grab one of those. Buy a 30 dollar box and use those to trade for things you want. This puts you at $50 which is about the cost of buying a regular game. Once you get some extra cash (before the next expansion), grab a premium membership for the 2 expansion packs, the 3 token packs, and a warbanner. If you can get the premium membership when you first start off, the extra cp will help.

Alternate way to go: Starter pack 10, avatar 10, 2 LE packs (2 LE runes, 6 boosters) $50

If you aren't sure which faction you like more for now, hold off on the avatar and premium membership. Grab a starter deck and a box or a starter deck and a few LE packs. You can always sigh up for premium to get the warbanner, and then go buy an avatar after you find the faction you prefer.

You could always forgo the avatar as well and grab another LE pack. The LE packs are usually great deals as they are good trade value later on.

Also, if you are on a budget: Grab the $10 dollar starter pack and play with it. The starter decks are pretty decent, as they were recently updated.

***VERY IMPORTANT*** Tip: For many factions, there is a "runepool", where people dump off their extra stuff that they don't need, and whoever is running the runepool gives runes away for free to new people. I would advise everyone to take advantage of the generosity of the more wealthier players. You can get pretty good runes for free here!

Another tip: There is a new player guild that one of the long time players of Pox is running. It is called "Newb World Order" and it welcomes new players to it. He also happens to run the Underdepths and Forsaken Wastes runepools. It is a great guild to start out in! (Name is Sepulcher8 if you want to whisper him)

You will not get the expansion packs for Broodcall, but when the next expansion comes out you will get the packs (if you are a member at that time).

I would wait until you start hearing about the expansion, and then grab the premium membership.

Also, instead of buying the premium membership now for 15 bucks, buy a LE midterm sale pack for 15 bucks (come out the 30th I believe). This will give you an LE rune, which usually is worth quite a bit, especially after the sale ends, as well as 3 booster packs.

2 starters (1 to play, 1 for trade fodder) and an LE rune pack is a great way to start out this game. A membership right before the expanion will get you your warbanner and 2 packs, and then the 3 token packs (I use tokens like crack, if I were a crackhead).

Well, you never truly know when the expansion is coming out. You would hate for your membership to end right before the expansion and not get your packs.

If you know which faction you will most likely play, then go for it. I keep premium status all the time, for the cp, and avatar experience, but everyone has different budgets.

So, to summarize, get 3 LE packs if you can live without the membership until the expansion. When you see the previews and such, pick up a premium membership.

However, if you know which faction you are going to want to play, warbanners are incredibly useful. If this is the case, get 2 LE packs and the membership.

Yup, that direct2drive is great because of the Limited Edition Euan that you get (very valuable) as well as the rest of the runes are pretty good too!

You must have angered the Poxnora gods. You must attone with a virgin sacrifice. (Preferably an olive)

Check the FW forums soon. KingWillie has been running a chop block bg ever since they came out. I have saw him try all kinds of different stuff. He responded to your post about chopping blocks and said he would post his. I'm sure you could grab the gist of the deck and structure it to fit the runes you have, and how you want to run it.

If your reading from the area in which you make the upgrades, where you find the red - and green +, those tell you what it will be next time you upgrade it. At the top of that page, you see your champions real stats/abilities.

Well the FAQ (http://www.poxnora.com/info/listfaqs.do?i=4) does not have the description for "sickened" but I am pretty sure it is -5 defense and -5 attack. Also, any of the conditions like poison or disease have the damage over time effect. Disease also causes "sickened" but they do not stack.

Chilled does not come with a stat debuff, I do not believe.

Ensnared = ensnared Each move costs an additional 2 AP. (this is from the FAQ) So instead of moving 1 space for 1 AP, you move 1 space for 3 AP.

For actual AP reduction, you can check the FAQ as there are quite a few. Wicked aura, sapping blow, punish, etc. You can also use abilities like Curse, or equipment or spells, to reduce a champs speed, which makes it generate less AP next turn.
