Single Player Time Challenge

Just like title say. Have the participants all start the same single player campaign at same time. Who ever finish first wins.

It challenge players’ deck building to get them through the campaign, as well as their decision/strategy thinking under the pressure of time. (luck too)

Could easily allow more participates (assume there is someone with admin power be able to monitor and track who finishes when in the single player setting).

Depend on the time, could use just one map, or a whole campaign.

Good idea for a challenge?

Nice idea. Or perhaps I think it is, due to how much enjoyment I've been getting out of the campaigns lately.

I believe I once went into my profile, and saw something that resembled a log of finished campaigns. It had the dates, times completed in, and turn amount, if I'm remembering it correctly. So if someone (most likely a Green) is able to see this log on the participants ... I think you have a pretty viable idea.

Personally, I'm kind of hoping that the implementation of 2 vs 2 ... also opens up options for 2 player cooperative-type campaigns. Or with the AI geared for it... In 2 vs 2... You could set any spots to computer AI, allowing for some interesting variations. But hey... that would be down the road, if even at all.

For now, since inviting my brother and friends to Pox... I decided to use the Campaigns (while on voice and spectating) as a teaching tool to help get their feet wet. My brother, who used to enter MtG tournaments with me back in the 90's ... is picking it up pretty quick. So now, we have a little competition thing we do, when not testing BGs against each other.

Since it's somewhat similar to your suggestion, I figured I'd mention it. Whether an idea submission for some kind of competitive event... or merely something to do with friends. He and I will pick a campaign, and discuss any BG restrictions or limitations we want. (As an example, you can limit based on amount of rarities used, runes used *like highlander*, or any other type of creative ... but shared ... restriction.) We then take turns and see which of us get's knocked out first, upping the difficulty if we both complete our way through the previous one.

Your idea would be more flexible for an event, though. As it could contain any number of participants.... and they could perform the attempt within a given time frame. (Allowing for players who reside in distant time zones, to still take part in the event.)

Only problem with starting this is people will suddenly stop contributing to the strategy threads for legendary walkthroughs and games will go unobservable. Though if it is done, the prize could be a guaranteed exo frag drop for the winner, or possibly an exo frag drop for anyone who beats the campaign in X time. Could also set it to you have one day to play so many campaigns. The best over-all time will be taken for each map and that will be your total time. It would lessen the luck factor and make it based more off of skill in build making and playing.
