What sort of music do you guys like to listen to when annihilating your opponent?

I jam to explosions in the sky, the theme song to sunshine (on youtube), and looping of children crying for help.

I just let Pandora run, keying off modern metal.

Sad stuff, usually. Lately I've been into some electronica, like:

Bush - Letting the Cables Sleep (N.O.W. Remix)
Yoav - Where is my Mind

Cool; I don't know anything about these bands/the genre, just been listening to Sirius 35 ("Chill") and picking up some songs.

I'm with ReiperX. Love me some Slipknot, Murderdolls, and Wednesday 13 (didn't even know anyone knew them, no one at my school does). Aside from that, I love listening to Tool and Industrial stuff.

Wednesday is a great band to see live. I got to see them on their current tour, was well worth the four or five hour wait in the small venue watching other bands I really didn't like.

I was duped into seeing Wednesday last week because an old friend was a roadie on tour with them. They had a good groove going but the sound quality/live show was poor. It could have been the shoddy venue. You're spot on about the opening bands, they were awful. Especially the chubby Irish singer trying to be Alice Cooper.

I've been listening to the Conor Oberst solo album while I pox.

Wednesday 13 will be playing here locally in a few weeks. I'd only recommend em if you were into kitsch.

Heh, I can suggest quite a few albums that are new or coming out soon that I've received promos for that are quite exciting. If you get to choose what you review that is. ;)

Assuming the labels have sent/could send copies to our office in Brisbane, and they're independent, then I'd definitely have a listen. What things in particular?

Techno, electronica, classical, bond, SSBB music, Music from Grando Espada. That games music is amazing. Agujero inmundo is the best, it's violins, electric guitar drums, simply mind blowing, all that games music is. I'd still play it, but no one i know plays it, and it's boring to play an mmo without really knowing anyone.

Ya'll really need to check out music.

I also like to do this thing where i trade music i have for other ppls, you know to expand my library.

Here's an example of my favorite stuff.

I'll listen to a bit of anything really although I do have an affinity for rock, punk, metal and some orchestrated music as well as listening to soundtracks from various games like FF and Zelda, the Smash Bros Brawl soundtrack is good though lots of nice tunes on there. Recently I seem to have acquired a taste for some drum and bass too, pendulum I like them.

Although like I said I can listen to anything that sounds nice. :)

Okay youre all metal heads (nerds), I can dig it.

Anyway, i recommend explosions in the sky's song called the birth and death of day. the song rocks, the band doesnt use lyrics but their guitar work is amazing.

Ok so Explosions in the Sky is the band?

I'm running more or less a online music magazine that I created and always looking for new stuff and new bands to talk to. So I may have to check these guys out.

Sorry about that, been missing from the non-beta forums for a while.

Hmm, three favorite promos for unreleased cds at the moment would be...

1.rodriguez- rerelease, out of print for years now
2.calexic- the new one is as good as feast of a wire, maybe a little better
3.mugison-moogaboogie, it's uhhhhh interesting :)
