Do You Like The New Forum ???

Didn't like it much at first glance but it's already growing on me. After a few days I'm sure I'll like it even better. Looks to have a more robust feature set, that's always good.

Yeah, the old one definitely felt more homey and comfortable. This one feels very sterile even if it does add new functionality.

the only difference is the lack of knowing a green has responded and not being taken to the poxnora profile when you click on a user.

Because each post is broken up by an inch+ long column reserved for the persons name. It breaks up readability of long threads.

There are some things I do like though, but the bad doesn't outweigh the good, imo.

I thought this too, as has been said new features look fun to play with but the old forums were definitely more "homey and comfortable" as Cid said.

I like the new backround skin and buttons but its a little new and might need getting used to. I also like having to use an avatar with the card that you already have. Cause i have a shamfie that i wanna use as avatar but you need a certain post count to use certain avatars :(

Agreed, when all that stuff was at the side not at the top it was SO much neater, plus as has been mentioned it was nice that you automatically checked for messages while browsing the forums but I doubt that is gonna be able to ever come back.

Personally, I never understood why hybrid/threaded are even options, they are both almost impossible to read unless you know exactly who's post you want to read. (which, around here might be useful once in a while but for the most part, they are just a waste of space)

However, there's got to be some option somewhere to stick the useless info on the side again, it's just too frustrating (especially with sigs) to try to read a whole thread when every two seconds you have to stop to figure out where the next post starts.

Too cluttered. The flow of the threads is completely severed by the HUGE and unnecessary profile portions above everyone's post... y can't they just have a name and more info if you click hover or something? This whole place is hurting my eyes... hopefully I'll get used to it soon

Oh, and by the way, originally I just clicked "proceed to forums" instead of register, but when I clicked the register link here in the forums it said registration was disabled...

So I had to go back and click on the forum link from the main website and click register from there again. Just so you know :)

I am guessing they would not have moved if it didn't give them greater content control and administration management that they simply did not have on their own boards.

Although it is interesting how the PDC boards and this one are not the same ;) I wonder if our boards will eventually be integrated into here... that would be nice.
