I had to do a double take just to make sure that isn't what I actually said since it was what I was thinking >.>

 

A set of these would make my collector's OCD a little less severe.

Are a completely different thing.
Not only are they unique runes and not "just" a recolor but there were also 8 runes created of which only 1 was given away. That created an increased demand for the things. Regardless they are still pretty easy to obtain.
In this case there is 1 rune created and 1 given away. In the worst case that creates a demand of 1 rune for the collecting individual. In the Renovator case you had a demand of 15 per collector, again assuming the worst case(no alts, collecting everything, need everything x2).
