Now that is odd. Can you play single player matches and normal ranked matches without a problem?

Nope. I never tried ranked, but sp has the same issue. It teases me as it all loads up and looks good then BAMMMM.

Hmm, that is odd. It would be helpful to get the game logs from you to see what may be causing this to happen, but you will need to create a support ticket because the logs may contain account info.

Have you tried completely removing Pox Nora and reinstalling? AppCleaner is the only way to clear out all files for Pox because of the Mac file management system.

    To Uninstall:
    • Go to your Pox Nora directory.
    • Then click on Uninstall
    • After uninstalling and before reinstalling the game, delete the Pox Nora folder if it is still in the Desert Owl Games directory.
    • Then download and install the game from https://www.poxnora.com/download.do
Note: you may need to use the program AppCleaner to make sure all files are removed before reinstalling.

Thanks for your help. How do I go to my pox directory?

    I am THAT stupid.

Right click on the Pox Nora icon and selecting "Show Package Contents." Most of the options should be there when you right click.

I sent the Pox Nora thing to trash. There is no uninstall option.
    I emptied trash.
I downloaded from your link above.
It all set up as normal.
    Got to launchpad.
    Clicked battlegrounds.
    Same error. Main quit unexpectedly.
Started again and tried single player.
    Clicked single player.
    Same error.

    AAARRGGHHHHH.

Been playing since 2008. It was fun whilst it lasted.

    Brief update.

    Tried daily skirmish.
Got to see map for a brief moment then quit with same error.
Logged in again and it asked if I wanted to resume.
    I did.
No map this time and immediate error.

Here is a bit of the error code stuff…

    Crashed Thread: 34 com.apple.audio.IOThread.client

    Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)
    Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000

It doesn't sound like you downloaded and used AppCleaner so there may have been some leftover files on your system. From what you posted it looks like there is a file that is missing which can happen if the program wasn't properly and fully removed when you reinstalled. Here is an article from Lifehacker about the different app removal programs. It is hard to say if this will actually fix your problem, but it will rule out potential causes.

This happens to me too, the same thing.

What version of Mac OS are you using? Also, when you say the same thing is happening. You mean that you are getting the same Crashed Thread: 34 com.apple.audio.IOThread.client?

Is it on any match or daily skirmish matches?

What Mac OS version are you using and what are your system specs. It could be that a driver is out of date, and some times apple ties new drivers to the OS version which is why I ask.

Hmm, it shouldn't have any issues. Create a customer support ticket about this issue. There may be some account information that may need to be discussed which is why. Go to PoxNora.com and click on Help and then use the email address for the account you use to play the game.

Are you using bootcamp on your Mac or do you have a Windows PC?

Anyway, knowing it works on Windows doesn't help isolate the cause. Feel free to contact our customer support [email protected]. There we can instruct you on how to pull your game logs. The only reason we don't do it here is that sometimes they may contain account info.

I've left the game now after seven years as my PC died and my mac won't run it.

:( That is unfortunate. I know you have contacted our support before, but if you could contact us again we will walk you through the process of pulling your game logs. It's hard to tell from the description and the Mac error what may be causing this.

New patch causes my game to crash at the patcher. What do I do? (Tried reinstalling but still nothing)

Before you reinstalled the game on your Mac did you use an AppCleaner to make sure all the files were removed before reinstalling? If not be sure to give that a try, and if you still have this problem please contact our customer support [email protected]
