He was given a more noticable drawback paired with positive adjustments that increase his cost. This replaces the +16 nora modifier for nothing whatsoever. I feel it puts him at a happy medium between his previous 60 or less nerf-cry inducing form and his recent 80+ full kit form. He is still adequately mobile as a support tank and moreso than his original Lumbering version.
has anyone used twisted fireoak in support of a tree-deck? I think dragging attack would be nice, but I'm a bit worried about fire aura flamming the other trees.
i have used him, for quite a while too, but with the addition to the new tree we got, i kicked him. Fire Oak is to exspensive and does very low dmg, and you cant deploy a greenhouse from him for obvious reasons. his only good ability was enflame to stall. but he and spikewood abomination are in need of a buff in my mind
Quickly updated several stat sheets and added an entry for Heart of the Forest. Man I shouldn't have let the guide lapse so long... so much work to do! Will take another stab at it after class.
I know it is the intention (atleast I think it is), the Naria could use representation in this guide.
They now have a presence (albeit a wordless one)! Gonna try to get all the Devotee images done before I tackle the bigger task of writing everything up...
This is a darn good looking guide! Great job, @Gorebucket ! I have always loved trees, starting with my first character in Everquest, a Halfling Druid named Gaedel. Well, and that they are pretty important in real life too!
yo gore, i was thinking of making something like this, and i have quickly come to realize how much time you have put into this guide and how hard and time consuming it really is! Crazy good job man!
@Gorebucket With Mother of Frond in play, with Spellsugre: Spontaneous Growth, do you know if Wood Elemental benefits from multiple casting of Spontaneous Growth? If it works, you could cast S.G. on the Wood Elemental with each Transplant to keep him around longer. It probably only makes sense when the spell is at its cheapest, if it works at all.
I'm testing it out now. It's definitely extending his life on respawns. Still trying to establish the specifics. I hadn't used Wood Elemental since the nerf, so I need to determine what's normal and what's the result of Spontaneous Growth. I'd been using Sustain on Mama Frond. Use it every turn with Honor Coin and lose no HP.
Spontaneous Growth can't be used twice during the same "life" but when you cast it once per life his max HP will never drop. Nice find.
I played three games today with this deck and ran into Metamorphosis twice, with two different players, and Raven Tongue in the other. I'm sure there are players that can't easily counter the deck but it wasn't worth the setup in the deck I faced. Oh well, at least the combo works and can be shelved for a later date.
