It was really bad, displayed inaccurate game mechanics, the voice over was terrible, I really hope it was Sony and not DOG who skimped on doing it right with all the bloody time you had to make it awesome. No wonder its been received poorly on YouTube.
I think that the biggest issue is not a meh promo trailer but the fact that new players are going to be overwhelmed with thousands of different runes and hundreds of abilities that they need to learn before they can play competitively. I might be wrong, but I feel this way even after hundreds of hours of playing this game. MTG at least limits the cards that can be played in a current season, so it's not so overwhelming for newcomers. Perhaps it's time for Poxnora 2, where players would be able to play competitively without needing hundreds of hours to learn the game.
- I'll be honest... I didn't play witcher series and then tried gwent on xbone... I felt overwhelmed a bit with that but you get over it. Then I quit gwent without a full understanding of it tbh..idk what that means tho
Can we please stop this ridiculous ass topic. Poorly received cause it's an indy game. If you look through playstations channel any sought of indy game just gets demolished by dislikes. Happens when your main subscriber base is kids who are all about their call of dootle.
I've been sceptical for the whole dog period, but this release just beats everything. We had to listen about how great and important this release should be for the whole year, with no other development going on. And what now? The client is effectively untested - and kids nowdays have such low attention that they drop a game after couple of bugs, there're still no official essential webtools - those kids are going to have no idea what to play, there're no specials or ads or other stuff to bring back as much existing players as possible - they are going to see tumbleweed lobby and forums.
