Ah what the hell, I may as well try to play the game again at some point, may as well do with a chance of prizes.

 

So... I'm a bit confuzzled about the Repetition rule (big surprise).

At first it sounded like you simply couldn't use the same runes twice in a row.
Then it sounded like you can't use the same runes AT ALL across any "set" of matches against the same person, whether it's one match, two matches, three matches, five matches, etc.

I would note that for people that don't have an almost complete collection of the faction they're choosing, that's going to make things quite difficult, though mainly only at the "best out of five" level. That makes it sound like one would need five totally different battlegroups, all with runes sharing the same faction (and does that mean you cannot use a Split bg, as in, Tortuns or Stitched?).

Now, if the whole point is to say "this person is the absolute best at this faction currently, because they can play any of this faction's runes and still win", then okay. I still think it's rather biased towards older players (and those that main a faction), but I suppose that's really all who's around?

 

(and no, I will not be able to participate, far far too busy, and also I don't have a big enough collection in any one faction to participate anyway )

 

i think you got it wrong.

in stage 1 it isn.t a big deal, challenges are single match so no limitations, league matches are just 2 so you get limit only in second match.

stage 2 best of 3 you get rune limit shared in all the serie of matches. again, no big deal.

best of 5 final will have special rules.

 

The option for a self chosen forums title is the real prize. All the forum title are worth while prize. I really am excited about the competitiveness this will bring out in players.

It would be super cool if the Wraith/Protectorate champ had an in-game icon next to their rank icon showing themselves as a contest winner. Great Emperor of Poxnora should be granted purple in game text, or color of their choice (not [DOG]green or [mod]yellow).
