So, hey, how about that pox mafia stuff? I figured I might as well throw my hat in to be the first to host a mafia game on these forums and, with the shiny poll's, we can vote on what we do! I've given three options plus Vanilla (boring), but that was very much off the top of my head. Feel free to make suggestions as to a theme you'd like and I'll see about working it out. This is very much an interest thread rather than a recruitment thread, so don't feel like you'd be forced to take part if you cast a vote.
I was just waiting to hear from more people. I think I counted 8 interested people =P. I probably would go forward once I hit 10 but am working on some of the background stuff.
I second the Poxnora mafia thing again. Can I be Gav? edit: Although my preference is not too power heavy like past games. Vanillas are cool too.
Do you mean the Forum Mafia forum mafia? Also, 4 votes for "Other" but only three stated preferences on it, I can't know what "Other" is without being told
I recall us doing DN and Wild West already. I dont recall a FMA one. I like the idea of a Poxnora Mafia or maybe a Sci-Fi theme.
Pox Mafia Power Ideas (P) = Protectorate (W) = Wrath (P) The Priest: Each night can prevent a target from dying. (W) The Succubus : Can prevent an ability from working each night. (P) The Inquisitor: The sheriff. (P) The Demi-God: This class is worthless and has no power here.
Ooh, new and exciting! But this power seems a bit OP. I think this should be limited to only 1 or 2 players otherwise it puts too much power into the hands of many.
Hrm…. you make a strong argument. Alright, regardless of the vote, I will make the final decision. Or I'll flip a coin. Or something.
Or better yet, each "Gav" can flip a coin each phase to figure out if they can vote that phase or not
This got me wondering... How does the game work if a player (or a few of them) can only cast dummy votes (that don't actually count at the end of the day), or if a player can sometimes vote, and then sometimes dummy vote (either systematically, randomly, or by choice).
I'd say they cast their vote in the thread as per normal, but it gets disregarded in the overall tally by the GM. Obviously, this can lead to the person becoming very obvious very quickly.
