1024 x 768 not working

I have tried to load the game at 1024 x 768 desktop resolution. It does not work. The loading screen (red globe) never ends.

If i change the desktop resolution to 1280 x 1024 i can load the game.
But changing then the resolution ingame to 1024 x 768 doesn't help, afterwards the game won't start at 1024 x 768 desktop resolution either.

This applies to both "windowed" or "fullscreen windowed" mode.
I use windows 7 desktop pc.

I don't want to change my desktop resolution (1024x768) just for poxnora.

yep still not working tried 800x600 doesnt work as well. Cant go to a higher resolution :<
