recommending Minos as the primary free BG in UD is like saying this is all UD has to offer, while I dislike the fire one personally i can see the wisdom in using that BG as primary and Minos as a buy it if you like it faction but never as a primary. its ridiculous to even think it, and this is coming from a 4 year vet that loved minos instantly from the second they were introduced
I'm guessing that many are voting for Retinue of the Demon Prince because it is the most diverse in champs - i.e. it isn't a mono racial theme deck. If this is the case it might be better to alter it to be a more general deck, perhaps with grimlic instead of maxx.
How do people feel about making some tweaks to Retinue of the Demon Prince after the vote to make it the primary deck for new players? As some have mentioned Minos would not be the best as the primary unlock and would probably be a secondary unlock.
Like i said I would love to see maxx in a free bg, so i am all for it cause fire just seems like a pigeon hole. Public BG's should be a "hey i notice you dont play under depths well this is all the stuff you are missing" kind of thing, and I really feel maxx would add a new flavor to things

but grimlic is sooooo boring... but that is a much better change than the actual grimlics legion which is absolutely terribad as it stands right now
