He becomes a tempo hit, which is where a champion like this needs to be, situational. Not a constant force no matter what. Also switches him from a constant threat, and can be tapped at on his off turns. But provides as a nice roadblock in the mean time. Don't have a second AA nerf, was wondering your guys's opinions on this nerf. Also which Boa nerf is better? (Turn of the Zealot mode for a second and really think about it.)
Boa nerf 1 is perfect. I would still totally run Boa and yet it does bring him down to a realistic level of power. As far as AA goes, help me understand why I would ever deploy a 99 nora champ who can only attack every other turn? Ethereal works on cheap units perfectly, like ethereal soldier, since its only 60 nora and provides a nice font contester every other turn. However 99 nora I want something I could potentially use every turn. He has no shield, 2 def but no other defensive abilities (besides ethereal) and range 1. I am choosing nerfed Boa and Forest giant long before this guy or is my thinking way out of line? I think his nerf needs to make him an entirely new champ. I know I am new but that is just my perspective.
Long ago, I recommended Ancestral Avenger losing Ghost (-10), Corporeal Form (-5), Phase Cleansing (-3), and Vulnerability: Magical (+6), and then gain Phase Shift (+6) and Resolute (+10). Thoughts? Ancestral Avenger DMG: 17 | SPD: 7 | RNG: 1 | DEF: 2 | 70 Base: Attack: Physical, Phase Shift, Resolute, Titan Path 1: Rend 1, 2, 3 Path 2: Loyalty, Mobility, Domain: Vegetation Edit I: For flavor reasons, he could also be changed from Warrior to Brute. Edit II: If the nora cost of Titan is going to be changed, then maybe we could shave off some stats to get his cost a little lower?
I like certain things about both of these changes. What about a combination of them? I agree with Xirone envenom on Boa dosv't fit i think a better ability would be constriction for 4N it would fit the snake ability IMHO i prefer colossal since it a colossal champ keeping colossal makes more sense and on top.I don't think scale armour will do a good enough job protecting a 2x2 champ.
Not a KF player, so take this as an outsider's perspective, but both nerfs look good to me. On Boa option 1 is more flavorful, other than envenom. My only concern being a 67 nora Colossal Boa with 70 HP (boost + banner) and Fearless option. Still better than current, though! AA fix looks ideal, I've been in the give it Ethereal boat for a while.
Just a thought, but what about taking Colossal off base and change upgrade path 1 to... Path 1- Colossal, Scale Armor, Tough 3
Interesting.. Sadly I want to see Colossal go. I don't care if it's in his name or not. Things like this shouldnt dictate how a rune is built. In some cases, sure. But there are to many things that could be said about any champ if this was the case. Scale armor is the path I want to take. I like this a lot more than nerf 1, I didnt think envenom really fit either. I think that was a suggestion from @Entrepidus
Please help me understand. You want to remove Tough, Regen, and Colossal in place of Scale Armor and some other niceties? If not, please clarify? If yes and you are going to nerf him that much, give him back Cleave, or give him Swallow Whole; otherwise, and I will call it now, Boa is sidelined in most decks because scale armor alone reduces his tankiness too much.
