Discussion: Turkey and Rune Preview

Were there budget cuts or is there some unseen or artistic reason behind the poor quality of the artwork?

 

If I had to guess this is an early submission by the artist and they are keeping the final product as a surprise for the expansion but I could be wrong.

Wasnt it compressed, so maybe the image is just poorer quality due to that?

 

Also, like, my opinion, man.

I prefer the quasi realistic look established over the years, rather than this cartoonish paintfest.

Yeah, really a clash of tastes there; I think the attempted realism ends up looking silly more often than not. Looking at the deadly tracker right now ... crikey ...

 

Love the Yeti, but the blood (warpaint?) on the Yeti needs fixed. Hopefully they saved the image in multiple layers so they can just remove it. Even the carcass doesn't look real. I say keep the Yeti but redo the carcass and blood splatter.

And I'll go right out and say it, I guarantee this guy will have Abominable.

Damage 12, Speed 6, Range 1, Defense 1, HP 55
Base: Attack Physical, Abominable, Yeti Warcry (2)
Upgrade path 1: Rend 1, Rend 2, Rend 3
Upgrade path 2: Regeneration 1, Regeneration 2

However, I do like the Soul Collection/Dead Eater suggestion. Naturally I would like to see something other than Rend 1-3. Defensive abilities such as Battlemaster, Hold the Line (or Defender), Defensive Attack, Tough come to mind.

 

The eaten corpse suggests he needs much more blood around his mouth.

It'll appear sharper when viewed at normal rune size. I like it.

brown yeti, things are melting in st or he might be for k'thir. Any way i would not hate it if FW got a han solo look alike with an ability called: shoots 1st. pew pew.
