Sharding legendaries and why this won't be enough to save rune accessibility

You are missing my point.

I have more than enough the value to get into the faction. The problem is that the only way to obtain the runes is buying them, not trading. If people are okay with this, we can just remove the whole "trading card game" nonsense forever now. It's only keeping PoxNora back in terms of opening up the game to the players.

I think this is a good object lesson between noobs and the crusty vets about sharding/owling and pricing.

 

Some have no problem owling day and night, thanks to Pox wealth. Most will have to be very judicious in their selections. I am confident that SenSok will evaluate and then calibrate fairly. Game needs cash AND players so this theme ain't going away anytime soon. ("Soon" in reverse).

Enjoyable thread so far, keep it up studs.

Sharding happens to the pants.

Sharking occurs online during trading.

Owling involves turning trash into virtual treasure.

I have very little expectation that legendary sharding and adjusted prices will fix availability. But, it's a step in the right direction! At the very least, there is now a relative hard cap on legendary pricing. We've made steps toward availability, but I don't really expect it to be ever "fixed". There's just so many runes in the game, it will probably always be daunting to new players. I still find it a bit daunting, honestly.

 

can we please crash pbs prices by putting 200 of each champions so he has no choice but to price them super low

 

Let me just step right in:

• that if we had 200 of each we wouldn't have to trade them in
• he would just keep all of them in his cash store and say Firk you guys, just as he does now. He's got loads of runes in his cash store that you can't trade for in the normal store
• Supply and demand doesn't work in a monopoly that is completely unregulated.

 

This is an unpopular opinion, but screw it. I HATE the tcg aspect of this game. I find trading confusing and frightening. I would much prefer to simply buy the runes I want and move on with my life. I understand that will never happen, just wanted to go on record with my perspective.
