Serpentor Scale Armour / 'Melee Champion'

I have always known Melee Champion to be 1-2 range... is this still the case?
as Serpentor Scale Armour doesn't work on a broodlord (1-2 range)

is melee champion still classed as 1-2 range? if so the SSA is bugged.

 

I am confused about what the question is.

 

I believe only champions with range 1-1 are classed as melee. I know that's how Execution Order operates.

 

Serpentor SA only works on melee champions, but it doesn't work on broodlord which is range 1-2 so he is asking is 1-2 melee or is it ranged and if it's melee then the armor is bugged.

 

Melee attacks is from 1 space. So a 1-2 or 1-4 champion can do melee attacks.

But a pure melee champion is 1-1 not 1-2.

 

Om I understand now. I am pretty sure anything with a max range larger than 1 are considered ranged though it should likely be clarified better.

Melee champs are classified at 1. 1-2 ranged champions can still gain the effects of things that only trigger at melee range, if and only if they attack at 1 range.

 

It's a garbage equip anyway, it shouldn't be in your deck under any circumstances to begin with.

 

That equip really needs to lose "if equipped on a draksar" and maybe +2 def instead.

 

Or just reduce it's cost?

 

its the same for blood claws which is a shame non of my vothsair can get dmg buff
what happened to champions like muted stalker whos got preparation abuse central

 

Rather not have anymore ridiculously undercosted op equips.

 

It could be 25 nora and it would still be garbage.

zeal, heart strike and +1 def are just really really meh. Even if you get 3 nora per attack. Unless you could find a really sick range champ to put it on, and even then.

It would be pretty ballers on drakkie archer if stuff procced from farshot, but then +1 def would be kind of wasted. It would safely and slowly pay for itself, while proccing stuff.


But apparently, that would be incredibly overpowered. Also, would be overpowered on 1-2 champs, right?

Imo +2 def at 35 nora (the original state from the preview) would go a long way IF you allow 1-x champs to use that. I would be looking forward to my draksars having 3 defence, and would love to see how this would work on marauder, bookburner or myx spitter (lol).

Heart strike is just not a good abillity, and everything apart from defence is delayed.

 

I thought we were debating no restrictions for the equip.
