Trying to get Myx to work, not doing well.

I was being serious, but I guess I don't know my sh*t too well.

 

I'd much rather run doomsayer.

Decent magic damage and doom for anything that looks at you funny. All for exceedingly cheap.

Obviously spellsword is the best magic melee.

Doom takes too long to be useful and SL can usually powerturn problem champions and angel is too expensive, I ain't giving 10 $ for that piece of ass.

 

Can you really find better then angelic ass for under $10?

If I could've paid in Runes, I would've been set for the night! ...but sadly, not even women with low standards want SL runes.

EDIT: Uhh... but yeah, those of you who playtested, how do you feel about the Myx powerlevel post-patch? (*feeble attempt to move discussion back on topic*)

 

I think the Myx are still fine. The Drones come out a little bit slower, but that needed to happen.

I took the deck I listed up above into ranked and was holding my own against a limited league opponent (MW24 or wtf his name is), and only really lost to the power of double Experimental Warspirits and 1 or 2 poorly timed misclicks. (playing on my tablet).

The Myx themselves were doing perfectly fine.

 

More vulnerable to rush, still clutching on those krikkin alphas and slashers.

Other than that, still strong.

 

How has playing in a tabled worked for you?

 

Hooooooly crap the eggs nerf was more impactful than I expected.

Late game it's ok but early you get wrecked ez.

Yep. I've pretty much tabled the Myx Hive. I did some testing the other night and it absolutely is not worth it. It is better in every way to just run two pupae and keep cycling them. I was really hoping the changes wouldn't ruin the hive too badly, but it actually ruined it more than I thought.

Two individual pupae is 50 Nora.
Two from the Hive is 50 Nora.

Regular Pupae you can drop anytime and anywhere you want, Hive you have to wait exactly 6 turns and they're both at the same spot.

Just not worth it.
Which is sad, because it's a flavorful rune. I would hope they could add some of the flavor back in some other way, maybe with a small bonus to Myx when it gets destroyed or something, or just an AOE buff to Myx nearby. Anything? But who knows if they'll ever revisit it at this point.

 

Wasn't even talking about the Hive, never ran it never will.

Oh Yeah, the early game is practically gone completely because you have to make sure your first couple Myx stay safe or else you'll never get the pupae popping.

It's definitely gotten much more difficult to play,. Those first few Myx are much more precious now, you can't afford to let their numbers dip too low, it's kinda like playing with your hands tied behind your back the first few turns. >.<
