As part of the leadup to the Pox Nora Open #1, I am working on formatting and tournament rules. An element of that is deciding how to handle maps. In the tradition of other miniatures games, the current plan is to have exactly three maps, in the same order, for every match of the tournament. Obviously that makes map selection incredibly important, which is where the community comes in. Below is a survey that lists every map in Pox. Please cast a vote for exactly 3 of those maps that you think are suitable for a tournament setting. I would love any additional comments or elaboration about particular maps. This results of this survey will by no means be the sole methodology for determining the maps; I will factor in any opinions provided. The map pool will be announced prior to the tournament start. As an additional point of potentially relevant information, the current plan for BG's is to have a list of 30 runes locked in for the whole tournament. Upgrades may be changed; runes may not. I believe there is no one right answer to what maps are appropriate, so all comments are appreciated. Thank you. Here's the survey link: https://utdallas.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_eJsyBsuWN7rzSLj
I have had limited experience with the new map. Only a few casual matches. How does it shake out? Is it conducive to longer or shorter games?
It's a mid-sized map. Typically have two fights going on. One over the isolated font and another waging between the two side fonts.
