What BGs are out there right now? And I don't just mean competitive BGs, I mean any that have a recognizable core, however bad e.g. Centaurs. These aren't just races though, everything on this list has some thematic or mechanical synergy tying it together. I'm making this thread for two reasons: first, to figure out how many BGs are actually in Pox (there are a lot, I feel) and also to crowd source a list for an upcoming attempt at a BG tier list. Pox lacks something of that kind, and it would hardly be definitive, but it would be something at which to poke and with which to tweak -- a starting point, after 9 years. Geomancer deserves it's own theme! Dwarven King, Catapults, Strip Armor, Gravity Flux, Emerald Wings. All hail the Geomancer!
I'm looking at my old one, so much of that stuff was torn down. It's going to be alot different now without monks, magnates, Roughnecks and Excavators, but I think it's doable now that he has swap back.
Grant:Teleport on Emerald Wing will do wonders for Geomancer decks. I can practically see him being drived, invigorated, catapult launched and teleporting to have a threath range of about 20 spaces, more or less.
All you've listed is way too much setup. The secret to a great geo deck is building one that has the potential to play a normal game. Remember you're already down 4 spells with 2 flux and 2 strips you wouldn't otherwise be using. Just how much non-optimum runes can you pack into a deck and survive a fight when your geo gets countered/killed/last reveal.
Could you post some sample versions of the uncommon BGs on here? Want to at least glance at them before I say they are tier 3. Same goes for anyone else who listed a neat split.
