I loved Phyrexia. Very HR Giger. I haven't played in a while but I like the game. YuGiOh is my sh!t though.
I was a black player but I sold my cards when I got married a couple years back. Couldnt afford to juggle too many hobbies. I had a pretty danged competitive Vampire deck, a good Zombie deck and a few various other black decks I would pull out occasionally.
I started in revised and stopped around the urza's block. I had a green deck focused around mana generation, verdant force, and altar of dementia. If I couldn't overrun you, I'd deck you. I sold my 6 most valuable cards for $800 last fall.
Been a long time since I really played it. But my favorite deck was a Black/White deck centered around Sleeper Agent, Spirit Link and Vindicate.
Played semi-competitively for few years, always loved Blue/Green mid-range decks, quit due to the lack of time and funds to enter higher level.
Yeah, I start playing like 3 years ago but stop because no one to play. But I'm starting it back up as of 2ish months ago since a store openned up near me and my friends got into it. I don't play to win therefore I don't spend a whole lot on my cards. Therefor I can play deck I like to play like Black/Blue and Black/Red/Blue. Have my own party. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mb37heNfqC1qjnbtgo1_250.gif
Well, at least you said aggro. Altho in most cases, playing Blue alone against me aggros me. Seriously, that Permission BS is the most obnoxious thing in card games.
The only mono blue I ever play is a deck of clones. I have a couple Vesuvan Dopplegangers, a few clones, and a couple leviathians. Then I just attack with as many 10/10 leviathians as I can and win.
Been playing off and on for about 12 years, currently in an "off". However I mostly play control, recently it was esper planeswalkers control, supreme verdicts, thoughtseize, sphinx revelation, jace/elspeth,ashiok. Usually did "semi" competitive draft/FNM, the shop I go to in Austin has lots of pro players, so I was semi competitive in that I played against them (spanked horribly most all the time). Mostly standard, but have been doing more extended/moder in the later years. Also deceiver exarch/splinter twin was a fun deck.
