I think I'd be happy to see any non-US holiday celebrated. Not that I have special issue with 'murica, but when most of the players aren't American (i guess) all those Turkey and Lincoln globes seem a bit off.

As a Texan I can say that you are thinking too small. There is Texas and then everywhere else is like the moon. Just out there and maybe you wanna visit from time to time but generally its easier to just watch from afar.

K strat and r strat. Sure. I understand. The fittest means different things to different species. Humans "win" with violence all the time. I disagree with @Boozha that intelligent people learn to get beyond violence. Some intelligent folks do, others don't. The amount of violence routinely used by governments against billions of regular folks right now is staggeringly regressive. Anywho, gonna stop derailing now. May the light of truth shine upon all of us, and such.

I'd say that currently all governments are forcing each other to act in each others detriment to varying degrees. Without governments things would be worse, though, because then the strongest or most charismatic **** would dominate over any semblance of reason.
