Bogwood Mireoak

So he got changed again.

Im trying 2 out in my Poison deck atm and i like them, they also just look cool, im a sucker for treefolk. Fireflies also provide an interesting addition to the deck.



His upgrades are interesting and i currently dont know which i prefer.
Taking Shroud seems to work well with his 4-5 range, he can following melees around 3 spaces away. Keeps his nora cost down.
Poison Cloud 3 isnt affected by Ponderous which is attractive to me plus Poison decks have lots of synergy with Poison Clouds, it also provides him with more offense but at a higher nora cost.
Then there is Choking Stench too which provides a decent deterrent to melees and keeps his nora cost down like Shroud does.

There is also Plant Regen vs Poison Cone, but firk Plant Regen. I have no water in the deck and vegetation/dirt is map dependant.

What do people think of him? I like him.

Yeah he is but hes 4-5 range now so summon them bk where theyre safe and keep em away from Mireoaks. I havent had an issue with them hurting him yet.

 

I love it when ppl deploy Mireoak and then summon those things inside a font deployment zone. With just 1 Font Eruption you take away more then half HP of that thing!

Meh, I'm not really a fan of this rune tbh, there are better options for any role you can think for him...

I liked him more before this patch. Though I do think more sources of Shroud is cool.

 

I liked him with lightning acolyte....

 

That sounds like interesting synergy, Acoloyte is expenseive isn it? Was that when he was melee and choking stench also made more sense?
He seems like a confused rune, but i think hes a decent ranged option for poison with cone and cloud.

 

Part of the changes were my idea, although I'd have made it melee.

I prefer him without for what its worth Sok. I can see why its helpful having it but i summon the Fireflies way back and let them wander off and do their own thing. Just keep them away from your Mireoaks. Theyre ranged now so they can stay back.

 

Change the ability into the following:

3 AP, CD 3, range 3, an electric firefly is summoned on target space.

That would be neat
