Righteous Deflection not triggering on ranged 'beams'

I understand it would not work if adjacent to the champ, but otherwise, RD should trigger as it is currently worded.

 

I think beams are considered aoe attacks, and therefore don't get reflected.

 

Ranged attacks are those which you need to target. Beams are straight area of effect.

 

Where do you gets this information from?

 

You don't need to target a champ for the beam to work - thus it behaves as an aoe.

I'd go with that.

 

I've read it from experiened players. I believe kalasle's guide includes this rule
