Why is "b.o.o.b.s." getting edited by moderators and should it?

Let me make this clear: this is not a joke thread, I'm completely serious. There is an overnsensitive moderator going around editing out the word "b.o.o.b.s." wherever it shows up and I don't understand why? And I have no intention of being "considerate" and letting this transpire in private conversation where I can just be ignored. This is like the whole thing with censoring the word "gay" all over again.

So, why? Is it a disrespectful word? Obscene? Insulting? Pornographic? What's the problem and can you explain it to me with a sentence that does not sound silly?

Furthermore, what word am I supposed to use instead, exactly? I may not be a native english speaker, but I'm pretty sure "bosoms" is pretty much out of use, so unless you want me to sound ancient just because you're oversensitive, please provide a better alternative. I am guessing (I'm actually gonna check with this sentence) that "tits" also gets moderated, so...

And has it occured to you that: 1) back in ye olde english time, there was an equally oversensitive person thinking people shouldn't say "bosoms"? and 2) that the word "b.o.o.b.s." is perfectly normal to use?

And to be clear, no, mods aren't doing this, it's a word filter now, as far as I'm aware. Second, your second sentence would get this whole thread ripped down if the topic wasn't so freakin' hysterical. Respect the rules.

^These rules? For my second sentence?

"There is an overnsensitive moderator going around editing out the word "b.o.o.b.s." wherever it shows up and I don't understand why?" <-- This one? I don't understand? Did I offend the moderators by saying they're oversensitive if they edit out that word?

Please go out on the street and ask the first few people you meet whether they consider "b.o.o.b.s." a word that should be edited. Ask them whether they think someone bothered by it can be called oversensitive. And then get back to me on what "abusive" actually means.

    No, these:

    Specifically note numbers 24, 25, and 26.

Now, if you have any further comments, you can take them to PMs with me and Senshu (and whichever other moderators you want to include, really).

Yeah, the word filter just happened to update it when I made that thread?

Or mods edited the word filter, who knows

I'm all for being respectful, but this is ridiculous. I can understand the censorship of some profanity, but honestly, boobs? ******** as Firk **** Bane Shift ******

Mods have no control over word filters, that's a green-only power.

To be fair only someone with admin privileges has access to the filter. Mods dont have admin privileges as far as I know.

It kind of exceeds the mark when you start changing bird names accidentally. If it were exclusively a silly term I wouldn't really mind
