On Ubuntu 16.10 this is what I did to get the Beta client working: - Start with a clean 32-bit Wine prefix (it's possible that 64-bit would actually work here) - Download and run the installer - Give permission for Wine to use raw sockets: sudo setcap CAP_NET_RAW=ep /usr/bin/wine sudo setcap CAP_NET_RAW=ep /usr/bin/wineserver sudo setcap CAP_NET_RAW=ep < PoxNora path>/Launcher.exe- Run Launcher.exe, wait for everything to get downloaded - Create a clean 64-bit Wine prefix - Move PoxNora to the 64-bit prefix and run it (the move probably isn't necessary -- just run it under a clean 64-bit Wine prefix)
I can confirm that the Launcher.exe works under 64-bit too, so there's no need for a 32-bit Wine prefix or the copying over. The launcher also correctly starts up the client now which is a big improvement over the old one! @Ralphen you might be interested.
I haven't much time (and will) to play recently. Just got hooked on that stupid stone soup for my sparing time. However I will try it in the weekend. But would be better to have a deb package to test; with unity should be possible to have a true multiplatform release.
