Hey people gonna be in ireland for a few days (for business) anything i should be trying to do or experience in the short stay? @Axeraiser
Really, do not do that. Very few in Dublin will speak it and it might be a bit awkward for them to be asked.
as for what you should do theres not a whole lot of good touristy things, guiness factory tour is worth doing, the zoo is decent if your into that. If you fancy food or a pint anywhere in Temple bar is decent, nightlife wise anywhere on Harcourt Street, Copperface Jacks or Diceys.
I see most answers are about drinking and sports and being awkward to locals. what is there to do in Ireland if you are not into drinking and sports or looking like a dumb tourist? asking for future me. having some craic going on does seem like a good answer though.
Drinking and sports = good. Messing with locals = bad. Also try history, culture ( especially poetry and prose) plus live music of all sorts. Traditional Irish with a smidgen if dancing is good. Often associated with the Craic...
If you like art, Francis Bacon's studio is worth visiting. It was actually meticulously transferred from London to Dublin and recreated as the disgusting mess he left it when he died.
Update, we spent the days walking through the dublin pubs/clubs/museums/cathedrals Pretty great city to walk in, we easily walked for hours and there was still some fun to be had. Cons: i expected cheaper pints/alchol in general, but the prices were the same as we have in dubai so it was fine
