Still in super early pre-pre-alpha so it isn't available to play yet. I'll probably have something in a kind of pre-alpha stage to open up to existing Pox players around mid January. In the meantime I'm just using a handful of testers to get the framework up and running. Not running on an off the shelf game engine - the tricky bits are on the server side which those won't help with anyway. The client is just using standard web tech (currently rendering to SVG but will later use WebGL) so it'll be straight forward to get PC and Android clients running.
Thankfully, Dwarves are pretty ubiquitous in most fantasy settings, so you shouldn't have a problem implementing them as a faction. Lizardmen though, hmmm..........I wouldn't risk it tbh.
Lizardmen have been a thing in many games: D&D, Warlords Battlecry, Pathfinder, Elder Scrolls to name a few. It all depends on the way he approaches them.
Also I have tons of questions. 1) Who are the artists for Pox 2.0 aka who created the sprites for this pre-alpha? 2) Can I contribute some Digital Art or Pixel art to this pre-alpha? 3) How many runes or cards will be available in this pre-alpha? 4) Will there only be 3 rarities like common, uncommon, and rare in this game or no rarities in the pre-alpha, then you do rarities for the cards in beta? 5) Can I play this at home and at school, an tavern, or an library? 6) Can the deckbuilder look like this please? It feels so much personal and good when you are able to touch your runes or cards just like in this game. 7) how large are the sprites in pox 2.0 pre-alpha?
1) Programmer art at the moment, so it's just me. The first money spent on this will be for new sprites. 2) Any pixel art sprites are welcome for any theme even if they're just temporary placeholders. 3) I'd like to hit around 100-200 runes before I call it a pre-alpha. 4) No rarities. Everyone gets all the runes. 5) When released.. I'd expect so. 6) I'll check out the layout, but there won't be rune art or a UI graphic designer any time soon.
@Capitulator Avesome work so far! Here is guy that makes great pixel art: Elthen. I think that this kind of graphic style is really good for tactical games like this.
Popped in for a Pox check. Nine thumbs up. Will keep tabs and look forward to seeing a public release. Hint, hint, Mac client please......
