Nope with the patch from the 27th it does count arthropods now. I actually quoted it exactly from the patch notes on the last page and meh im too lazy to do it again.
I think the way this was handled by @Senshu and @Gedden in conjunction with the community to arrive at a mutually beneficial position is an example of how they are willing to work with us to retain a themes flavor in their new system. Should in discussions of other themes they (DOG) are accused of less, pointing to this thread could help. Credit where credit is due.
I am glad to see my dreams are still being discussed. Something else I might point out really fast is that most Spiders have low base speed. CnC Racial justifies that, for with enough swarming the CnC Multi Attack and Climb mitigate their mobility by higher dmg oppertunities. No CnC hurts that.
