List of things we no longer have access to that are hurting some of my favorite mechanics/concepts/combos. First 5 that came to mind: Defensive Strike Forage Hallucinogenic - Deceiver is still runnable, thank the maker! But I took so long learning wandering pathing just to combine this with other things (Like Defensive Strike above) Rampage (I used to run an IS/UD variant that spare parted Forage + Rampage onto a unit, for hilarious results) Punishing Aura --- whole BGs made around this /sadness (Maxxarek is immobile and hardly counts). What are yours?
I belive its the same as manic, without the nearest enemy cluas? Plz corrct me on this its been a very long time since ive seen it in game.
A shatter source on a deep elf--scout w/ pilfer doesn't really cut it. More fire volatility units...there are only 4 in the game, and only 1 in UD. This limits the use of a fire volatility bg (although it obviously doesn't eliminate it w/ summon borghas). Similarly, only having 2 fire bomb units, one of which is 100+ nora, hurts as well (although obviously there's fireblast). Although we never really had it, knockback synergy w/ all our firewall effects.
He is also relatively cheap, and if you put him in a vamp split deck (he even got Race: Vampyre, so the intent is pretty clear to me) running multiple champs with Bleed, Blood Magic, Bloodtracker or, heck, even Rain of Blood, you don't really need the recharge. Him being range 1 is stupid though.
everytime i use vixen i keep forgeting she got only 1 range I will miss 1-3 range on her cause she awesome also i will miss range on UD champs cause alot of them were awesome (except for goblin archer)
I want to like the current goblin archer, but he just seems so expensive - especially for a unit that dies to a stiff breeze.
Abuse charged/Recharge/Blood Magic mechanic was crucial for Magus since it opened a unique playstyle to the rune. While suspectible, you could pull off a number of blood magics in a single turn to heal to full and dmg in AoE, something no other unit had it, which imo made him fun to play with. His range to 1 doesnt really matter for that build. Now hes just an uninteresting melee unit..
