What Markoth means is that each extended box is supposed to give one Exotic, so if you opened 3 you're supposed to get 3 Exos.
oh im sorry for my english :D , of course i got 3 guaranteed exos but from other packs i only got 1 exo :p just a bad luck i guess
This sometimes happens with % based systems. Maybe the next one you will get a bunch of Exotic and Legendary runes.
