There should be more mason champs in general. Once there'd be enough of them abilities like heal champion and mass heal could be made incompatible with constructs, which would alleviate the issue of insane healing in some BGs.
A few things:
1 - Mason is a really old ability that never gets much focus
2 - It's actually not that bad (aside from the range) vs Heal Champion since it also cost 33% less nora
3 - Healing is being nerfed in general and I will probably also consolidate Mason a bit so it feels more similar to the others (because we have been moving to a game where things aren't just one-offs everywhere).

2) I would much rather pay the piddly Nora difference and have Mason be more or less equivalent to Heal Champion, maybe 3 range instead of 4, just to keep my Tinkerers safe and have them waste less AP moving to and from the frontline just to heal stuff.
3) Fair enough.
