please explain !! .... her trying to make him better is not wrong, i know what u mean that she have to accept him the way he is but still would make sense if she want him to be even better ,because she cares how he ends up to be.
Unless she wants to change him completely then that is another story :D

Right, that's why I said if it means she wants him to prove himself. Generally, if your significant other says things like "if you really care, you'll do X", that's a bad sign.
If they're just encouraging you to be the best you can be, that's fine. But "loops" doesn't sound like that.
