Great news. How early was she? My daughter was 5 weeks early. She was 5 lbs when she was born.

We delivered early due to a condition called vasa previa, and it was planned which has made things much easier since we knew it was coming.

My wife had hellp syndrome. She went in for a regular checkup and had an emergency c-section.

I'm confused, is that a good thing or bad? I thought premature delivery was a worrying issue.

If you are asking about mine, the issue is vasa previa basically means you delivery early because if contractions start then it can lead to stillbirth because with that condition the cord is not in a good spot and ruptures easily with stress. And if something happens, you have minutes before the baby suffocates basically.

So you prefer to deliver early before that starts.
