well so there are untold numbers of other candidates from other parties, but only 2 parties get any press to the point where there's a shot
The 2 large parties each contain many different factions. Lots of disagreement and variation between Clinton and Sanders. And plenty of differing ideas between the current crop of Repubs. Still, I would prefer more obvious distinctions between the various types of R and D politicians.
I'd prefer that the Dems and Republicans not have a stranglehold on "official" presidential and other candidacy Debates.
I watched the recent democrat debate thing, and was impressed by both Clinton and Sanders (skipped the other guy). Sanders has great ideas, and very close to my own politics - it's whether he can implement them that is questionable, and if he could would it prove too divisive for the country as a whole considering the amount of hardline rightwingers about. I also thought he overdid the 'blame the rich/banks/corporations' rhetoric a bit much -- I agree with the problems he identifies, but I would have liked detail about a workable taxation plan to redistribute wealth rather than crowd pleasing slogans. Maybe that is the nature of these things though. Clinton on the other hand is very establishment, so could be seen as a 'more of the same' candidate at a time when that isn't wanted. But she does also come across as more grounded and very competent, and seems like she'd do 'more of the same' well, probably have a less hostile congress to work with. Seems like she'd be a slow movement to left politics rather than a radical overhaul. Anyway, I'm not American, so take my 50p as you like.
the largest criticism i've heard of bernie (aside from people shitting on his idealogy, which is a separate thing) is that he has very little experience with governing. add that to his divisive platform, and he could potentially be one of the most ineffective presidents in the history of the US. with hillary you know she's able to do things on a national and international level. you may disagree with those things, or hop onto the few infractions she's racked up, but she at least has experience you can point to. likely voting for the bern if the chance comes by, but ye. i also think his campaign has become a bit more vitriolic, although compared to where he started i think that's ok.

incorrect, we all begin crying, covered in shiit, blood and piss lacking coordination and mental capacity.
February 3, 2016 MANCHESTER, N.H. (WHDH) - This is what we've been waiting for - our first 7News/UMass Lowell tracking poll of New Hampshire that includes reaction to the Iowa Caucus. It's obvious New Hampshire was watching what happened in Iowa because Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Marco Rubio have moved up. Donald Trump is still in first place, but he's frozen at 38%. Ted Cruz is second with 14%. Marcio Rubio is third with 12%. Jeb Bush has 9% and John Kasich has 7%. http://www.whdh.com/story/31126831/...mass-lowell-new-hampshire-tracking-poll-day-3 I am curious to see future polls and projections and Nate Silver and other such action in the next 4-5 days.
Updated 2:25 PM ET, Wed February 3, 2016 | Video Source: CNN (CNN) Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum is ending his presidential bid, two Republican sources told CNN. He is expected to make the announcement Wednesday night and will endorse a candidate. http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/03/politics/rick-santorum-dropping-presidential-bid/index.html
I expect the bulk of the rest to drop out after New Hampshire, with 3-4 Republicans left, and of course the 2 Democrats to the end.
I certainly hope so. It is time to get down to the nitty gritty with each and every legit candidate. Who is ready to see Trump's dirty laundry??
Like him being part of a big Casino business and happily (mis-)using Eminent Domain as a means of acquiring land for said business? Though honestly, I think if he had more "personal" laundry the RNC would have already been using it. But who knows, there's still plenty of time for something new (or something very old) to come up.
