"What you call a flip flop, is sometimes..."

"Sometimes" is my acknowledgement that Trump does flip flop. Let us not pretend that I said something other than what I actually said.

No, you tried to imply that Trump was misunderstood or somehow didn't explain himself properly.

Let's dispel the notion that Donald Trump doesn't know what he's doing, he knows exactly what he's doing. He repeats every damn sentence 3 or more times, it's hard to misunderstand the dude.

An African-American Tucson cop who attended a Donald Trump rally on Saturday as a neutral observer described the anti-Trump protesters who crashed the event as “the most hateful people I’ve ever seen”.

Challenging the media narrative that Trump is ‘inciting violence’ against protesters, Tatum said he heard an announcement before the event which told attendees not to become involved in altercations with protesters who were being unruly.

“That was another thing I don’t see portrayed in the media, is that they gave a disclaimer, don’t hurt these people, you don’t need to do this”.

Tatum concluded by noting that the media rarely portrays the protesters in a negative light, focusing instead on violence committed by Trump supporters after they have been provoked by demonstrators “spitting and yelling in people’s faces”.

A top Homeland Security official told Border Patrol agents the Obama administration has “no intention of deporting” many of the illegal immigrants caught trying to sneak into the country, ordering instead that they be released so they don’t clog up the courts, a leading advocate for agents testified to Congress.

Mr. Judd said they took their case directly to Deputy Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who told them not to bother.

“Deputy Secretary Mayorkas told us that the Border Patrol needs to focus its resources towards the worst of the worst. He said that by prioritizing those we choose to deport, we will help alleviate the burden on an already overburdened court system,” Mr. Judd recalled.

“He further stated, ‘Why would we NTA those we have no intention of deporting?’ He also stated, ‘We should not place someone in deportation proceedings, when the courts already have a 3-6 year backlog,’” Mr. Judd recounted. “Since the day of this meeting, we have seen no improvements in our enforcement efforts and the morale of the Border Patrol agents is one of, if not the lowest in the entire federal government.”

Immigration agents have complained for several years that Mr. Obama has tied their hands, forcing them to release illegal immigrants who should have been easy deportation cases.

Criminal negligence at best. Very sad to see nothing has changed for the better in r/t illegal immigration. Status quo wants cheap labor and reliable voters.

Trump questions need for NATO, outlines non-interventionist foreign policy

    March 21, 2016

Donald Trump revealed part of his foreign policy advisory team and outlined an unabashedly noninterventionist approach to world affairs during a wide-ranging meeting Monday with The Washington Post's editorial board.

The Republican presidential front-runner, for the first time, listed five of the people who are part of a team, chaired by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), counseling him on foreign affairs and helping to shape his policies. They are Keith Kellogg, Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Walid Phares and Joseph E. Schmitz.

Trump's meeting with members of The Post's editorial board covered a range of issues, including media libel laws, violence at his rallies, climate change, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the U.S. presence in Asia.

Trump — who is set to give a major address on foreign policy later Monday before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee — said in his meeting at The Post that he advocates an aggressive U.S. posture in the world with a light footprint. In spite of unrest abroad, especially in the Middle East, Trump insisted that the United States must look inward and steer its resources toward rebuilding domestic infrastructure.

"I do think it’s a different world today, and I don’t think we should be nation-building anymore," Trump said. "I think it’s proven not to work, and we have a different country than we did then. We have $19 trillion in debt. We’re sitting, probably, on a bubble. And it’s a bubble that if it breaks, it’s going to be very nasty. I just think we have to rebuild our country."

Some specificity, but still in The Don's signature style. The beginning and/or core of a foreign affairs team is most interesting. Curious to learn more about them.

    The Washington Post's editorial board?

The extremely intelligent and accomplished folks Trump named to the team?

Or just another passive aggressive statement because you don't understand why scores of millions of Americans are beyond tired of all the betrayals?

If Trump is actually a member of the status quo, the path before humanity is essentially unchanged. Utopia does NOT await 99% of humanity down that road, IMO of course.

SCOTT ADAMS remembers just how the game turned. He was young and improving at chess, but the masterful kid across the board would outmaneuver Adams till the game seemed a runaway. Now, this kid didn’t want to just beat Adams; he wanted to embarrass him. “So after he’d picked away three-fourths of my pieces and I was discouraged,” Adams recounts, “he would offer to turn the board around and play with my pieces.” And then effectively “win” again.

On those occasions, Scott Adams, the creator of “Dilbert,” got insight into the type of personality that loves not only the challenge of game strategy, but also the thrill of overwhelming the competition. It is the sport of meticulously plotted domination.

And that is part of why Adams believes Donald Trump will win the presidency. In a landslide.

Adams, in other words, believes that Trump himself has turned the campaign game around. On the stump, the real-estate mogul is not running on the knowledge of his numbers or the dissection of the data. He is running on our emotions, Adams says, and sly appeals to our own human irrationality. Since last August, in fact, when many were calling Trump’s entry a clown candidacy, the “Dilbert” cartoonist was already declaring The Donald a master in the powers of persuasion who would undoubtedly rise in the polls. And last week, Adams began blogging about how Trump can rhetorically dismantle Clinton’s candidacy next.

Adams, mind you, is not endorsing Trump or supporting his politics. (“I don’t think my political views align with anybody,” he tells The Post’s Comic Riffs, “not even another human being.”) And he is not saying that Trump would be the best president. What the Bay Area-based cartoonist recognizes, he says, is the careful art behind Trump’s rhetorical techniques. And The Donald, he says, is playing his competitors like a fiddle — before beating them like a drum.

Yet another fascinating piece by Scott Adams. He has been hitting the bullseye on the topic of DJT since summer 2015.

Adams dives into specific observations, so click ze link and read from start to finish if interested.

Trump in Nov 2015 re ISIS:

"We have a president who just doesn’t get it. He’s weak and ineffective.

“This is like no other war we’ve ever had,” Trump said. “This is a war, believe me."

"We're going to have to knock them out and knock them out hard," he added

Trump in March 2016 (ahead of a major address on foreign policy later Monday in front of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee):

"At what point do you say, 'Hey, we have to take care of ourselves?' So, I know the outer world exists and I’ll be very cognizant of that. But at the same time, our country is disintegrating, large sections of it, especially the inner cities."

I guess the point when you say "we have to take care of ourselves" is 2 months after saying we should cut off the head of ISIS.

    Wait, nevermind...

Trump in March 2016 (during the address in front of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee):

“When I’m President, we will stand up to Iran’s aggressive push to destabilize and dominate the region,” Trump insisted, after stating that Israel was America’s “cultural brother” and his “No. 1 priority.”

    ~

I mean, I don't even know how anyone listen to this guy and not go "WTF are you even saying?!" On the same day that he advocates for non-interventionism and having a small global footprint he states that stopping Iran is his No 1 priority. Ugh.

Who knows what he will think/say/do next month? Maybe he'll think we should bomb Russia? Or ally with China? Your guess is as good as mine.

I'll say it again. The US doesn't understand pure populism.

But they will learn in time.

In 2011, Trump claimed that South Korea didn't reimburse the US for cost of troops in South Korea. He was wrong then.

Now, at least, he says "We’re constantly sending our ships, sending our planes, doing our war games — we’re reimbursed a fraction of what this is all costing."

But seems to have no problem with the US throwing money at Israel.

    ~

So let's look at some of those numbers:

In 2011, according to the Pentagon, there were 28,500 US troops in South Korea.

According to the agreement between South Korea and the US for its troop presence, they paid around $700 million/year (adjusting for inflation each year).

According to another report I found, the US also has 48,000 troops in Germany at a cost of 4 billion a year, making the cost of the South Korea troops somewhere in the range of 2.3 billion a year (assuming relatively similar costs).

Estiamted Aid to Israel (less their contribution):
    1.6 billion a year

    South Korea GDP:
    1400+ Billion

    ~

Meanwhile, estimated US Aid to Israel:
2.4-4 billion/year since 2000 (almost entirely military grants so they can purchase military products from the US), with over 100 billion total since 1949

    Israel GDP:
    300+ Billion

I am no Donald Trump fan and he would never get my vote based simply on the fact he speaks of USA being a democracy when it is not even close, it shows lack of attention to detail to me, I find that an unwise quality to vote for. I say that simply because I don't want anyone confused that I am a Trump supporter or think im ideology based or standing up for him.

I had to comment on this post since I find it amusing and ironic, you are trying to make passive a aggressive insult towards Trump supporters or anyone who doesn't hear trump and and say "wtf are you even saying?!!" of course you wouldnt admit to it or perhaps even see it but to most its obvious.

You copy and pasted clips that you grabbed randomly from the web and slap them together to fit your ideology then make some comments on it, never stopping to actually really read and understand what was being said, but in haste to form an argument and try to subtly paint anyone who could listen to trump and take his points serious as a fool.

Now lets see how that worked out for ya! the good news is you posted all the information needed and I don't have to do anything other than actually read. You conclude partly with " On the same day that he advocates for non-interventionism and having a small global footprint he states that stopping Iran is his No 1 priority. Ugh."

So you are putting that (bolded-stopping Iran) in contrast to everything else he just said about non interventionism and small global footprint and giving an emphatic "ugh" to him and anyone who doesn't think "wtf are you even saying" upon hearing trumps words, like they are the problem ones and your intellect and understanding is superior so their ignorance is a pox to you (pun intended:)

The problem is that's of course not even close to what he said, lets actually read the quote from article you posted to support your propaganda and see if it actually does> “When I’m President, we will stand up to Iran’s aggressive push to destabilize and dominate the region,” Trump insisted, after stating that Israel was America’s “cultural brother” and his “No. 1 priority.”

lets break it down, sadly it will take awhile. Trump says> "When I’m President, we will stand up to Iran’s aggressive push to destabilize and dominate the region" Trump insisted,"... Reading that part first he simple says he is going to stand up to them, does not imply military or sanction or diplomacy or anything so standing up can mean anything in that line. In reality it simply says "stand up" so no military push there or talking about STOPPING IRAN. If you want to get super technical on that line in fact hes not even talking about standing up to Iran as a nation but its "aggressive push to destabilize and dominate region" so he is addressing that specific facet of Irans policy and not blindly saying "we need to stand up to Iran" and again no mention of STOPPING Iran in any of Trumps words. So its total complete propaganda created by you that he wants to STOP Iran, sounds good to tell stupid people but easily seen as empty propaganda for those who are discerning.

Now onto the second part of article you quoted> "after stating that Israel was America’s “cultural brother” and his “No. 1 priority.”

Trump stated ...ISRAEL was Americas "cultural brother " AND his "No 1 priority" so Israel is his number 1 priority not STOPPING IRAN. In that one sentence you created STOPPING IRAN and combined it with No1 to then try and imply people who dont hear trump and think "wtf are you even saying?!!" as some sort of simpletons.

So without propaganda pushed blindly by ideology what did Trump actually say. He wants to stand up to Irans aggressive push to destabilize the middle east and Israel was Americas cultural brother and number one priority" Which does not conflict at all with "he advocates for non-interventionism and having a small global footprint" so your whole argument is moot. I dont have the time or energy to get into the massive amount of errors in the rest of your post, but spreading false propaganda is never good specially when it can influence those like pyro who like such misinformation and spread it.

Now I find it funny because you were thinking "I mean, I don't even know how anyone listen to this guy and not go "WTF are you even saying?!" and that is exactly how I felt reading that post. ugh

America can chew gum and walk at the same time, Sok. Trump has said we need to stop nation building, hence the smaller footprint. Killing ISIS is not nation building.

BTW, you should read up on what the muslim/islamic terrorists just did in Belgium. Obama's strategy of containment aint ever, never, ever gonna work.
