What would be a possible rework you guys could come up with ? I love the rune, I love the art, I love the sprite, I love the text, but that price tag for that stat line even with the summons is terrible. I'd like to see him become more playable, or just be a straight up k'thir hero. He is never ran in ud ever and could easily fit in k'thir archer, k'thir elves, it's an awesome rune wasted on crappy marauder and being split with ud. What would make him playable for you guys ?
so basically revere except class based, and tacked on the expensive unit itself? though i'm not even sure how that'd even be code-able. so something like for each class archer or rogue unit in play ashe the bandit prince would cost 10% less nora?
So what suits him nicely i think is banditry and the multi attack pariah is also nice. But his Unique ability is Marauder a cool ability and suits him for the Prince needs some bodyguards. But how about change Marauder to --- Logistics Marauder : The 2 summons spawn at the closest font zone to him when it procs. + Logistics Would create a Nora decrease in cost and that is his main problem, and still make him quite unique but with a delay!
Here's what i'd do with him damage- 10 speed- 6 range- 2-5 defense- 0 health- 45 hero escape mercenary Marauder- When a friendly elf is deployed this units gains logistics range, and cooperation , all elven units are revealed in the rune dock. Nora cost 25 Upgrade line 1- multi attack 1, punish, shatter Upgrade line 2- banditry, reflexes 2, bastion of mobility In total this would drop his cost by 42 nora, i'm not sure what the increase for range would be though from 4-6 to 2-5. What do you guys think ? He'd probably be around 90 nora with the range increase and no base abilities. Pilfer also doesn't really make sense because you have to be within 2 spaces and who wants to get that close with a 90 nora unit let alone 120. Logistics range-12 nora cooperation- 2 nora reveal all elves- 11 nora This could be higher or be removed entirely, but the cost of marauder would need to go down a bit. I honestly hate him as a split hero.
That marauder ability is broken. It'd easily push elves to S-tier by the sheer factor of giving you every single drop available as long as you can deploy Ash. The tactical advantage of that is too high.
What if it revealed a couple runes instead of all of them, after looking at it did indeed seem a bit too strong. I don't know i'd like to see xirone's opinion but I haven't seen him around in a while.
The way I see it: Marauder (25n) - When a friendly elf is deployed for the first time (this is important as otherwise you could keep stacking logistics range), this champion gains logistics range and cooperation. Whenever you deploy Ash the Bandit Prince, reveal 6 runes that share a race or class with Ash the Bandit Prince. (Might be too much) Champions deployed from the runedock gain banditry while this champion is in play.

I don't think Ash needs to be messed with His price tag is high but you are getting 3 units. I don't see the issue with him. He used to be a much better thief of Nora but Nora gen breaks stuff so it was called down a bit.
Do you run ash, if not why ? I don't run ash because even with the 2 extra deploys the price tag is still astronomical, for his cost I can deploy 2 champs both being decent champs in themselves. He's a huge tempo hit, the melee units you get from summoning him are both pretty basic and borderline garbage. Can't remember what blademaster spawns with, but blademaster the actual champ isn't bad when you get to pick his upgrades. All in all the champ wants to be ran in kthir archers, but he's too pricey, too squishy, and the summons aren't strong enough to make up for all his shortcomings. If you don't see the issue with him, then I'm curious why absoulutely nobody runs him. Surely if he was even somewhat playable, someone out there would use him right ? The answer is no he's garbage and the worst possible tier of rune and that's why nobody runs him. In hindsight though, making him full faction kthir hero might let him see some play.
I run him pretty effectively when I play him in split UD/KF Elves. The Elven Blade Master comes with Strike and Melee Specialist, Deep Elf Mercenary come in with Declare Hunted and Melee Specialist as well. I've had some people surrender at the sight of the deployment of Ash and his minions. The price tag is big but the payout is good because it's 3 champs for the price. There isn't much of a tempo hit. Playing Zeventrech is a tempo hit. You only get the one champ for his huge price tag. At least we can both agree that he needs to lose Split Hero. He still needs to be both KF/UD Split. Let's be real here though, we both know that's not going to happen. At most you might get a slight buff to Ash himself. I recommend Distichous: KF/UD: When a KF champion is deployed from the runedock this champion gains "Rend 2" for 4 turns. When a UD champion is deployed from the rune dock this champion gains "Tariff" for 4 turns. I was trying to think of more thematic abilities to fit with Distichous but I can only think of Ransack Relic, Snatch, Banditry. Anyway I'm not the best designer so help is appreciated
If anything I'd know the win was in the bag if somebody deployed ash, were you already ahead ? Split hero needs to go, I'd rather see him become a split rune like you suggested or a full faction kthir hero. I don't like the idea of distichous, every rune with distichous is shoe boxed. I like a lot of the suggestions above to be honest. Snatch is a Bane Shift ability and very rarely is it useful or even used
Experimental Warspirit isn't shoeboxed, he gets picked in KF whenever superchamps and spell buffs become more common. He's niche.
No I had beaten the opponent with the ash BG a bit a before and I guess he didn't want to deal with him hehe. In fact he D/Cd. What I suggested was pretty decent but it would be require a new ability coding. We will have to suggest stuff with existing abilities. Tariff is a great ability but paired with Nora Nora thief it could cause balance issues. Also keep in mind that charge abilities are going to get looked at soon according to sok
War spirit is good because he has soul strike and is a hard counter for super buff champs, then again any champ with soul strike is pretty much god tier. Name me a champ with distichous that is ran frequently besides war spirit.
I like marauder giving logistics stuff, and cooperation. I think tariff is a very gimmicky ability and the game could use less tariff not more.
Understand that Changing the way Marauder works requires recoding in other words resources. Sok wouldn't do that unless he thought Marauder is broken and it's not. Tariff is only a suggestion and I don't understand how it could be gimmicky. It's pretty straight forward your opponents lose Nora if your champions die.
