So I want to play a mostly Garu Based BG but I know they lack in the area of support. What champions do you think would be best fit for the powerturn style of play of Garus? Is the Elven Bard the most optimal option?
He's nice and cheap but a bit conflicted - 8 SPD and 63 nora means you'd like to get him out early, but careless from berserker and reinforcement want you to deploy him when more Garus are out and don't let you stack AP on him. Personally, I'd take Garu Hunters instead.
Aspect of life totally best option... Gnarlwood as above is great if you want a helpful guy who drives everyone. For heals, i like nectar fairy and guys with divine favor like elven page.
It really depends on what you are looking for. If you want a true Garu racial, your main support champs are Diplomat and Shaman. If you want to blend, what others offered would suffice.
It has been a while since I played last but I remember being happy with Fae Advocate in my Garu BG. Bubble gave some protection to the melee Garu and Swap helped get melee Garu into place. Mark was good enough if the little bugger was in a good spot. Plus, it is a cheap side-font grabber.
i would still go garu shaman, it gives all you need and is a garu that procs protective , commander etc...not the best unit out there, but playable. expecially if you get it out of the bear tree.
I hadn't thought about this one. So far I have been doing very well with Gnarlwood Patriarch, Nectar Fairy, Elven Tender, and Elven Bard. I will try to find room for your suggestion.
