I look forward to being able to go on pox again, hopefully it won't take too long

 

I've always wanted to learn Dutch.

But German confuses me.

 

I always thought German was fairly close to English, to be honest. I certainly find it easier than French

 

english: cheese
frisian: tsiis
dutch: kaas
german: Käse
french: Fromage

 

Could be, I've been studying and learning French since high school, (though not too much after high school) and the french people had a significant influence over us in the imperialism era, so I guess I had more of an affinity to it than the other languages.
