i didn't really understand what you said 100%. so is that bg you included the meta changed or the budget changed and why is there no holy blade of valdac is it just not important? ands why is there no cleanse?

 

That's a bg I made taking into consideration what runes you said you had., there is no holy blade of valdac because we have euan for prestige and there is no cleanse because IS cleanse comes in the form of equipment, and most champions will be equipped on a dwarf bg, so your opponent would simply target the equipped champions with cc in case there were one that isn't. Instead of cleanse I added mark of redemption to deal with blinded champions and with block/dodge/elusive and righteous deflection can be used to abort a kill if it's needed.

that one is good, but a lot of variations can be made that depend on the taste of the user, for example, somebody would want to add dwarven king, for example, and that's doesn't make a bg better or worse, just different

 

If you want cleanse the Medic is incredibly efficient and under rated. You can also tank with NEWS and have Ruan and them two with available cleanse (and Minister).

 

NEWS= NCT = northern cross templar(s), Ruan= Euan, the point is those champions being paladins, so consecrate the earth works to cleanse and heal them.

You said budget and included only dwarves but if you're open to humans the NCP (northern cross priestess) is really great and would fit into your paladin module (module = building a subset of synergy into a deck rather than building the whole deck around it (.

 

I have seen axeraiser running brubaker brothers, and after the revamp, one should be able to run a dwarf bg with more than half CtE champions

 

Another thing to ponder: I used to play IS when we just had Minister (and somewhat Attendant) as our AP gen. It was really slow and transparent. It was a very hard time for IS.

It's why I (and others) pushed for Sarge to get shoebox buffed (I was not on council at that time).

He breathed new life into the faction, as did the release of Barbarian Huntress.

Point is, you need ap gen to compete. I always use some combo of monks and magnates now. In your position I'd look strongly at monks.

We're talking meta here, if you're trying to stay dorf and on a budget, Ethereal Priestess is great with Haste.

Catapult is also great and has effective AP support. If you are going to run him I'd run two Engineers as tanks since they poop tanks then I'd also work in Turret Teams and run that module.

How about Blacklabel Brew? Is it fixed and actually worth something now?

 

Definitely worth something if you have carousel champs to refresh the effect. Hopefully we'll get some more carousel champs.

 

more caruse champs and more type of beer.

 

With Medic lacking an attack, would Shroud of Al'Mara be worth a slot to give him more things to do with his AP? For 30 nora you get a Cleanse, Resurrect, First Aid 3 for an extra heal, and Smite the Unholy 2. This way instead of using Cleanse as his upgrade 2 option you can go with Grant: Healing Potion for even another heal. So, for 3 AP you have Heal Champion 3, for 3 AP you have Grant: Healing Potion, for 3 AP you have Cleanse, for 3 AP you have First Aid 3, for 4 AP you have Smite the Unholy (16 damage to Undead, Demon or FW unit), for 1 AP you have Immunize and for 0 AP you have Resurrect. That's a lot of healing and possible damage on this little guy.

 

what about hooligans? are they good?

 

Just as a neat little update on this, I'm planning to completely revise this guide sometime soon, updating every entry due to the revamp. Still not solid on how all the new units are playing yet, so it will take more time, however things are in the works.

 

I'd be happy to work with you on revamping the guide. I'm slowly making progress on my Paladin guide but the revamp happened in the middle and slowed me down,

 

I had been meaning to ask you about that; this whole guide I can pretty much credit to you, since you did it first way back when and gave me the inspiration. I'll go into more detail next time I see you in-game, but I'd love your input on a few things.
